Worked at a stadium/arena for a between 2012 and 2017 and DMX played 5-6 times. Aside from always being wasted, he was a good guy, always polite to staff. His problem was he'd go out and party at the local bars ahead of time, then show up and comp vip to his 50+ new "friends", who'd usually run up such a massive tab that X's fee wouldn't cover it and he'd legit end up losing money on a sold out show.

What gets them is not big purchases but passive costs that accumulate over time. Paying a stupid amount of your own money on clothes or travels can impoverish you fast but will never take you below zero, spend the same amount on cars and mansions and you'll go broke in no time

If the amount is based on how much money he is making, then surely that amount should also be divided by the amount of children making it closer to what a less rich person would pay?
