@@kkaka26 that’s open to interpretation 😅 I suppose it’s along the lines of brains get into habits (fear response) and meditation can help refocus the brain to a neutral state that can more clearly aim its focus towards intention

Someone with ADHD should start with 1 minute a day. And add 2 minutes after at least a month but maybe longer, keep doing that. Your self esteem and future self will thank you for being compassionate with yourself.

As another ADHD'r I agree. As a 10 year meditator now. I am always advocating that my ADHD, and ASD brothers and sisters start practicing. it really helps us understand and have a better relationship with ourselves overall. That being said the body never wants to stop, and it will come up with ever reason not to stop and meditate. That should speak volumes to it. After 10 years my body still try to get me to procrastinate meditation. its one of the best activities to discipline our fouc, and increase our emotional regulation.

meditation is one of those very pure things that will change your life for the better. it is to be done without any electronic help, on your own, just you and your mind and the beauty of the world. the beauty of solitude and silence. most can't thrive in this, and that is exactly why they must do it.

I did used to love meditation. I find the signals in the house very distracting sometimes.. I have housemates, rarely am I able to meditate in the evening. There is no outside room in the garden. My room is too full of stuff, and no matter how much I've tried, it will always be, too messy, to meditate in. To have music you must use your phone. Your phone wants to ruin your whole experience sometimes (arghhh!) I would love to mediate every day. Not that I am complaining, it's just it's nice to see someone so passionate about it :) I'm not sure I ever found too much of a place for money or work in my meditations. P.s, I never meant to produce a film on the book of war. What I meant was, to make a whole film about all the separate stories of war you have told. I think that would be fantastic. I will definitely be reading your next book, and I am currently, and sporadically enjoying your book of daily laws. Amen 🙏🍑🐳 Life love and unity 🙏

While I was discussing about the human nature of how small things that people do can reflect a hidden intension which I learned from your Robert. It reminded me this verse of Quran "Indeed, if We so will We could show them to you so that you would know them by their appearance, yet you shall of course recognise them from the tenor of (their) speech. (Allâh knows their empty words as) He knows your (solid) deeds. Chapter 47 - Verse 30" And I wished that you read Quran and learn more about how Muslims meditate. I'm not saying 1.8 Muslims around the world are having this great experiences, but every knowledge, religion or wisdom is so personalized and its about how the person is absorbing and openning up to levels that crowds cannot enjoy.

I’ve heard people say they tried meditation and it didn’t work. As a long time practitioner it cannot not work although as a beginner it can be challenging. I had quit for a number of years and started back due to my anxiety returning. I’ve been at it one to three hours per day for two months and I’m still at the challenging state. It takes time but if it’s done daily it will change your brain, your mind, your body, your spirit, and your soul.

I started practicing meditation/mindfulness and also yoga just 2 weeks ago and I already seem to feel the benefits and I'm here wondering in amazement: is it ever possible??? I am less anxious, more confident, more focused, brooding is reduced to a minimum, I can't believe it! Is it just my impression or is it the truth? Yet I'm sure I still don't know how to meditate well, I lose concentration on my breathing every ten seconds and I have to gently re-center myself every time... So what is it??? Unfortunately I have always suffered from anxiety and anxious jealousy towards my partner has always ruined my interpersonal relationships... will this be the right time for me to have a satisfying relationship? Please give me your impressions, tell me it's not just an illusion :)

Its 🐝 n 10 days and I increased the time to 7 minutes. I believe I am more focused to keep doing this because I started with just 5 mins which was no big deal although challenging. Because it was a small time frame I was able to be consistent and keep track and meditate each day. I also record myself so as to let my brain know we are serious in this. For now, no perceivable change but the fact that I can do 7mins now means that something is changing in me...ok will communicate again in a month

Im meditating about 10 years now, it was a time when i was meditating 3 hours a day, it is beneficial but it will not change your life, people have unreal expectations, it didnt change my daily behaviour in any way, its good to relax a bit from stress but it doesnt make you this ocean of calmness in daily life, im still getting angry at things that used to make me angry before.

Yes Yes, meditation can be very effective in reducing anxiety. Regular meditation practice has been shown to lower levels of stress hormones, reduce symptoms of anxiety disorders, and promote a sense of calm and well-being. By training the mind to focus on the present moment and letting go of worries and stressors, meditation can help individuals manage anxiety more effectively. However, it's important to note that while meditation can be a helpful tool, it may not be a standalone solution for everyone, and those with severe anxiety should consult with a mental health professional for appropriate treatment option.

I have OCD and ADHD and I’m telling you, meditation is impossible for me. I was able to consistently do it for 15 minutes for a few weeks and I didn’t notice any improvements. It just became a 15 minute anxiety headache as I deal with the insane boredom, think about random shit and count down until time runs out. Any advice? I feel like I seriously can’t do it, it drives me crazy having to sit there.

Move while you're meditating. It helps. Gentle moves.

Don't do it if you feel that much resistance. Meditativeness is a quality. You will want to do it. It will happen, this life or another.. No need to hurry..
