Despite all our technological and scientific advancements, we have never been more miserable as a species.Yet the solution to this lies inside us.
In this insightful talk, Dr. Shyam Bhat shares how meditation can help overcome all problems plaguing the human race in this age of constant hustle and bustle. Dr Shyam Bhat is a mental wellness and meditation expert. He is a pioneer of Integrative Medicine and holistic psychiatry in India.
He founded the Mind-Body Clinic in Bangalore, and is also the founder of Seraniti.com where he heads a team who provide integrated mind-body and emotional wellness therapies.
Dr Bhat has developed the evidence based psychotherapeutic method, Integral Self Therapy, a transpersonal psychotherapy that combines the practice of meditation, the philosophy of Vedanta, along with insights from gestalt therapy, and existential therapies.
Dr Bhat is a trustee at The Live Love Laugh Foundation, founded by Deepika Padukone, to increase awareness and decrease stigma around depression.
Dr Bhat is also the author of the best-selling book "How to heal your broken heart: A psychiatrist’s guide to dealing with heartbreak' This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Have you heard people talk about - Ganlizabeth Preliminary Genie - (do a search on google )? It is a good one off product for discovering how to get abundant success using meditation without the normal expense. The single most important tip is stop trying to control the mind, the mind has a life of its own. The day you realize that your mind thinks for itself it will be one of the most eye opening experiences in your life . That’s how you know you did transcendental meditation . Just make sure your not high so you won’t be confused as to did that really happened or was it the drugs

What to do about lacking motivation to meditate Simple Meditation "Life Hack" - that I learned in my ashram. A lot of us out here who have been practicing meditation daily for years, run into a meditation hour where we simply have zero motivation to meditate. There is a simple "hacK" that helps these situations. And it can actually apply to a lot of things beyond meditation. So, let's say your standard meditation is a 15 minute session or 30 minutes or 45 minutes. And you just can't bring yourself to do it that one day. What do you do? Well, you can trick your mind into "allowing you to meditate." What you do is say to yourself that this day, you will only meditate for 2 minutes. Then, immediately your mind relaxes and says, "well, I can do 2 minutes, that is nothing." And then, you sit down for those 2 minutes. Now, most of the time, once into meditation for 2 minutes, you will actually feel like it is not big deal to continue. And then you go for 5 minutes and 15 minutes and you are off into a regular session. And sometimes, those 2 minutes don't gel into that further meditation. And you can take that day to just meditate those 2 minutes or maybe 5 minutes.
