She was my director back in 2018 as i was working in her hotel ( Hotel basilea) she one night came and found me and colleague, she sat us down and talked to us as her own children, she told us she building a big hotel that will suit our proffessions well well, she even promised me a payrise which she actually did.

This may sound biased, but Kenyans who have schooled outside the country, particularly in Western Countries respect nature and the environment, particularly when building or constructing back home. Homegrown hoteliers or businesspeople would have plastered the place with unfinished roughcast, building a concrete jungle, with unfinished outer walls. Good to hear she was personally involved in the design - the result is visible; _"they are surrounded by big trees and exotic flowers, even the air is good."_ 🌴🌳

Can't be Western countries are the problem when it comes to environment. Plus they use the people who schooled against us eg most African presidents from independence have been schooled in western culture. The Western people come to Africa and hunt and kill our animals all in the name of sport. Exploit our lands and poison our water system in the name of capitalism. If you're looking forn conservation in Africa look on a period before the white man stepped a foot in Africa life thrived wether plants or animals.

@@Khatamoga Any University in Africa you know that teaches 100 percent African culture, and use Native languages in their Curriculum? Name one, I'll be waiting... The Western people you condemn are the same ones helping us conserve our own wildlife, and the entire tourism ecosystem. While it's true they exploited our lands, our post independent leaders did worse against us. Talk of Rwanda, Somali, Nigeria, Cameroon, or Congo. The last four still wallowing in human-land conflicts. I believe there's no post-independence president still alive in Africa today, with their last link, the regnant queen of commonwealth who rested late last year being the latest of that realm. The top 20 big economies of Africa are fifty years old now, or slightly above, _save for South Africa,_ but we can't compare to our peers in Southeast Asia who were under *the same* colonial influence, and status post-independence. We should quit clinging on the colonial tag, and challenge our leaders while holding them accountable in the democratic spaces we have been afforded.

@@ImDevin25 Yes but not in a narrow space like that, although a tunnel will be better given the harbor or a drawbridge would also do. Ferry services happen all over the world I agree like Mombasa to Zanzibar Ferry services. Ferry services just mean bringing your car, animals, etc. It does not refer to ancient technology like crossing a narrow straight like Likoni or Mtwapa.😀
