That's it. I now have permission to raid the holiday stash of champagne early! Lost $49 total - except that I would have made $888, but loss ate up my profits. Small potatoes to some of you, I know, but this was my first "big" one and I did cry. BUT - I then promptly got on my DD, made my swing-trade list for tomorrow, my watchlist for my one DT left for the week. Back on the horse. I want to add that the emotion actually came from the fact that I didn't do it to myself. Right at 10:10 a.m., as my well-chosen stocks began to rise bigly, with one climbing to HOD of $24+. My entry - a tasty $3.98. But just then, my elderly mom called. She had fallen. she lives three doors down. I didn't even put my shoes on, but did grab the phone with my trading apps. By the time I determined she was unhurt and had her secure in her lift chair, what would have been my wonder trade had careened down to $12.50. My others had hit their HODS and were scooting down. At least they were salvaged quickly and sold at some profit. This covered the loss and Mom is okay, so I have had to remind myself of what is important. I guess its okay to lick your wounds, but like guru Ross has said, losing is part of the game. We must be ever-learning and not let any job take over our life. Blessings, and thank you Ross for your helpful FREE videos. They have been a huge help for me to learn the basics.

Peace, I've watched a lot of your videos and have to say videos like this mean the most to me as a new trader. We can learn all the candle patterns, price action changes and risk management, however, losses are the keys to the pit of ruin. Hopefully most traders have a support system but when it comes down to it, we/I feel alone since its just me vs the market. So, the psychology of trading is so deep, more than I thought, the transition from daily worker comparison you made is on the money. Without being to verbose, just know that people like yourself insure entrepreneurial depth in the market. Appreciated

My biggest loss was $3600 in one day trading gold. Starting this Monday I'm going to start trading the dollar index. I've been practicing all week and gained small profits trading one share as I became better at recognizing trends instead of minute to minute swings. The only problem with the dollar index is you only earn $5.00 per successful trade. But once you factor in the fees, that's reduced to a profit of only $1.50!!! The fees total $3.50 for a complete buy and sell cycle ($2.40 goes to the stock exchange and $1.10 for broker fees).

It has taken roughly 18 months to get rid of the emotion when trading for me. It was painful, like a permanent itch I remember given to me my teenage first love, the bitch, I needed ointment for that though !! It can be the best and the worst of times, but, to be honest now I don't really think of it so much now after a few losses. I trade alternate days and spend more time researching and testing than actually trading. Getting to my first 100k was a good time and I wanted to spend it all, but I've become a tight wad with money more than ever ! I actually bought a ten year old car the other day, a Honda Accord with 100k on the clock , mainly because I can fix it myself lol.

No worries Dave. This can be frustrating.. In the meantime focus on the process not the results. Consider the loss a tuition fee you pay to the markets to learn. Remember you can make a loss even in your best set ups. Have a proper risk management in place. In fact always plan how much you're willing to lose in a trade before setting your target win. Greed kills and so does fear. Plan your trade and trade your plan. that's the balancer..

It’s 2AM and I just got done trading in the sim (on demand feature on Ameritrade) made $480 on DRAD with 500 shares and then watched your recap from the other day on it (traded it prior to knowing how it performed) I do this every couple days they update it, I just look at the thumbnails of your videos or take a quick look to see what was on the gapper list for that day and trade it blindly and record the trades now in OBS then play them back and analyze how I did. I went live last year in June and gained 54% in one day of trading then 20% on another and then some small trades here and there under the PDT rule... life hit and I had to withdrawal the money from the account and get out of a situation with an ex girlfriend... anyways I’m going to be funding the account outside of the PDT rule this time with CMEG and I really think it’s going to work this time. I grind every day, I wake up, watch the live stream, go to my 9 to 5, get home, door dash and then sim trade with the play back feature and after I do that I do what I’m doing now and that’s going through all of the videos you’ve ever posted on here. I’ve gone through a lot in my short 23 years of life and I want to thank you Ross for inspiring me to do this and helping me stay motivated, I will not give up on this until I make this my full time career.
