If you remember what happens in each region, the previews for each nation explains it perfectly and vaguely For example inazuma is being described as how the archon views eternity vs how her people do literally explaining the vision hunt decree lol. There is a theory based on the gnostic chorus (battle pass). In the battle pass story you can see that princess loses herself, forgets who she was and where she came from. A knight (who is her brother) was sent to save her. This story might actually be based on Dain and the unknown God. When Dain says the part about “show me you are worthy of saving her”, not only does he mean Lumine but also his own sister, the unknown God! Of course him and the unknown god being siblings is just a theory, still an interesting one though.

The dark arc was really good to remind people that genshin impact is a game about a dark tragedy that is about to happen (not spoiling for new players) and most of the community think that its just collecting waifus and husbandos so Mihoyo killed one potential playable character to make the community snap out of it. In my opinion, I really love that arc because until that arc every story is just way too wholesome and there's nothing dark to compensate for it. Most of the people that got mad are just simps on Signora like Mihoyo never told u to save up on that character and you can pretty much save up for a character the moment Mihoyo leaks the new future playable character.

This trailer sets Lumine as the Princess of the Abyss. i'd like to think that this is all basically a quick summary of the lore, but in dainsleif's PoV. he's not exactly a neutral type overseer/observer character. if my suspicion is correct, dainsleif is our twin's partner in their journey before we the MC traveler woke up, up until our twin finally makes a stand to establish abyss order. so his language, he talks like he's been there through all the adventure, spoken in a very subjective stance, unlike most every other narrator type character. of course this is all my wild speculation, lol. take it with buttload of salt

What is interesting about the trailer is that it is actually a complete telling of the entire story of the game, however it is worded so cryptic that you can only realize this after playing it for yourself. You only get a glimpse, but the true meaning is something way deeper than you can pick apart without full context you would get in the game.

Considering the entire storyline, when Dain says to defeat him and show that you are worthier than him, it's most likely due to him still having reserved feelings for Lumine, since they used to travel together. He probably still wishes to save her from the Abyss's control (hence his expression when she calls him his enemy in game) and, most likely, travel with her. He wants you to prove that you are better than him, that you will be able to save her, unlike his attempts over the past five hundred years.

there's this genshin youtuber theory by the name " cat with the blue hat", most of his theories became true as the game progresses. He likes to read every single thing on the game and gained clues to some of the NPC's. There is definitely deeper meaning in this, but there's so little we know that it's hard to say. One thing to point out, the character shown for Snezhnaya is not the Cyro Archon, but rather the 5th harbinger Pulcinella. We don't really know much about them yet

For those who don't know who some of the characters are. Obviously for Mondstadt, it's Diluc. For Liyue it's Ninnguang. Inazuma shows Ayaka. Sumeru shows Cyno, a character who shows up in the official Genshin Impact manga. The Dendro archon is a woman called Lesser Lord Kusanali. Fontaine shows Lynette (the girl) and Lyney (the boy). We know nothing other than they're probably twins. Natlan shows Iansan. Again, we know nothing about her. She is not the person Dainsleif is talking about in his narration. He is talking about the Pyro Archon, who is a woman called Murata. Snenzhnaya "shows" Pulcinella, Harbringer No. 5 and the person responsible for recruiting Tartaglia into the Fatui. Their gender is unknown. But the person Dainsleif is talking about in narration is not Pulcinella, it is the Cryo archon, aka The Tsarista. Khaenri'ah obviously shows Dainsleif.

This talking about Abyss or Khaenri'ah that trespassed and destroyed by the gods. "Your journey has reached its end, but one final doorway remains" This about doorway to divinity, doorway to Calestia. "Defeat me, command me to step aside, show me that you are worthier than I to rescue her" Lumine already go to fight the gods with the Abyss (and maybe together with Tsaritsa), Dainsleif challenge traveler for who the one worthier to rescue her.

The story will get a lot more interesting when Sumeru comes out. There’s a theory that the Dendro Archon isn’t the one or that she’s being controlled by sages and acts as a simple figurehead since she’s “ only “ 500 years old and considered really young by archon standards. Considering the trailer says “ the god of wisdom’s enemy is wisdom itself “ might mean that she knows more than she should about the whole Celestia thing. Fontaine’s fist chapter is called “ Masquerade of the GUILTY “ which might imply that the Archon or the whole Justice system is corrupt, if not that then it might mean that the traveler gets accused of something and basically gets saved by two masked people ( Lyney and Lynette, all of the characters in the trailer play a major part in the story ). Natlan’s chapter is called “ Ode to resurrection “ which might imply ⚠️ *spoiler* ⚠️ Signora’s resurrection, she’s literally called the Crimson witch of embers and liquid fire flows through her veins and when she found out that her lover was dead she felt immense hatred towards Barbatos and wanted revenge, the Pyro Archon probably took notice of this and maybe took a liking to her? Teyvat Russia or however that’s written doesn’t need to be explained since they’re one step away from ending up like Khaenri’ah with the whole rebellion thing.

We're only in Teyvat Chapter boiisss~ Wait till we get to JoJo chapter... also, hoping for at least the Pyro Archon Murata's design to be Himeko Murata's so us Honkai Captains can cry once again.... both have confirmed red hair, one uses claymore and an S rank Valkyrie the other is the god of war, probably uses claymore too if that's the case, one is the ''Herrscher of Fire" the other is the "Pyro Archon" both just means Ruler in different language. "When the god shared this secret to the traveler, it was because she had her reasons" -Dain Confirmed it's a 'she'. The secret might also be that just like the traveler, she's also an outlander and her reason might be thinking if the traveler has a way to go back to their world where she might be also be able to use to go back to Earth. Teyvat has it's own laws. This might be able to help Himeko reignite the flame seed inside her and gave her a rebirth and become the Pyro Archon.

Personally I miss a lot through Gameplay so I would beat a quest then look up lore related videos to the events. I'd say if you want to really understand the game Finish a quest then watch teyvat historia or another lore explained video related to that quest. This will help you see pass the surface of the game. This is more than a journey to find your sister, and the Gameplay and character stories tells us that. It's just hard to notice if you play casually.

The character of Sumeru, he is Cyno a scholar from the Sumeru Academia. He appeared on the manga 6 months before the travellers comes to Teyvat upon Lisa's request. I just hope the Dendro archon is a guy since we have so much waifus that its getting annoying asf. @@InactiveTwig Sorry i mean in terms of people basing their guesses off honkai yes it obviously can be a thing from its own lore . Its annoying because they keep going "well they did it in honkai so they can do it in genshin" and while i get what people mean like they arent even linked directly (at the moment anyway). Plus just because people have sad stories in genshin doesnt mean it cant end well like maybe the goal of finding our sibling changes and we stay in that world or we end up leaving it which was the original goal in itself or whatever else could happen . Basically im hoping it to not be as predictable as "oh no my sister died" the end and cry like its too ehhh.
