As much as I hate that motor for servicing and power that motor sounds amazing. When I drove a F355 back in the day with 6speed was an amazing car. I would try what I could do to keep that motor if all possible.

You guys could have saved yourself alot of work and still used the original engine. You could have used an SDS aftermarket racing computer system. It's a very simple set up that can run pretty much ANY engine on earth. It doesn't need the cam/crank angle censors to run. Funny how you spent 30 grand on the vehicle and not a few hundred more for the right computer system. Would have been cool to see the original engine run and rev up to 8.5k.

The best for this type of Ferrari is the older version, Motronic 2.7, better then the Motronic 5.2 system, now if you want more performance the recommended one is Fabspeed and not Megasquirt.

That tapered design on the camsafts has to be some "fetish" of some Italian college profesor and he taught that to his Italian studenst circa in the 90s . Because it used in some italan motorcycles too, But i never seen it enywhere else :)

the writing on the subframe is probably just a acronim of the previous owners name, because thise cars need engine out service every 5 years for the cam belts, and if the shop has multiple disasembled ferrari f355 so they dont mix up the parts

thats what I was thinking, they always just swap a hellcat motor or an LS into everything, gets real old real fast.... It's not really a rebuild more of a engine swap EVERY TIME. But also theyre in this for the salvage business so some of the ferrari parts can still be sold for some money, when an LS is marginally cheaper. Just kind of a letdown because we all want to see this some how brought back to life from the ground up OEM style... but imagine a 2JZ ferrari

Underside and frame are not advanced, look like a modern truck. Simply welded U sections. Composed of many welded parts. At 10:10 the arm of the car-jack looks more advanced compared to the car chassis.
