People need to start being honest about Caitlin Clark's abilities and limitations. She doesn't have great handles, she doesn't have a left hand, she doesn't shoot going right, she doesn't have a mid-range game, she struggles to create her own shot one-on-one against decent defenders, no post-up game, turnover prone, and not a great finisher around the basket. Caitlin Clark doesn't even look like she is skilled enough to play PG in the W right now. I'm sorry, but she needs to be regulated to a Sabrina Ionescu-eqsue role right now, where she can score coming off screens. The days of her blowing by and crossing defenders with slow lateral movement are over. The Fever need to completely revamp their offense.
@Michael-of6zf5 ай бұрын
They have Clark playing shooting guard not point guard. Fever in the first two games went up against the number one defensive team for the past several years and the number one offensive team last year. They are doubling her and triple teaming her. She will win the rookie of the year, but I except to see her full potential next year.
@methrowrecords5 ай бұрын
She's playing with a bunch of bums. She needs to stay away from Wheeler at all costs. She is a professional loser as is the coach.
@JaeRell5 ай бұрын
@@Michael-of6zf It doesn't matter what her official position is labeled. The offense looks the worse when she is the primary ball handler and initiating the offense. The double teams aren't going to stop. The hedges on screens aren't going to stop. The whole team looks lost, but Caitlin isn't being put in the best position for her to score.

When CC is at point with the ball in her hand. Fever got with in 11 points & had 7 consecutive points & then the coach changed the offense back & hid CC in the corner as the two guard & went down hill. Nobody is double teamed or smothered more than Cc. 4 of CC's turnovers were because of her lazy teammates not going to the ball when she's trapped in the double team or knowing the plays. A few missed handled assist doesn't help & and a bad call that went of the defenders leg & called out on CC.. CC also leads the fever in assist & points. She does need to work on her turnovers that was all her. The fevers team sucks & the coach is worse. @JaeRell😢

This was recorded before the Indiana vs New York: -Marquesha Davis did get some playing time, but it was only 3 minutes of garbage time -Celeste Taylor still didn't play which is insane to me. -Caitlin Clark struggled again. I'll give the Fever one more game, but I haven't like what I saw the first 2 games at all. They look like an absolute mess on both sides of the ball.

I desperately want Indiana to give Grace Berger more minutes and bring Wheeler off the bench. She shouldn’t be starting in my opinion. I assume when Kelsey Mitchell is healthy that will change

Even in a bad game Clark stats are still better than Reese.
@thedoranwilliamsshow68635 ай бұрын
I was at the game and Rickea Jackson played A LOT better than what her stats suggested. She missed 3 shots but a fraction of an inch. With better luck, it would've been a 15 point game for her in limited minutes. She is eeeeasily the most gifter scorer on the team. Also, Rickea and Cameron need to play together. Pick and rolls & High/low action would be dangerous. Not sure why that hasn't been implemented
@audriwilliams79435 ай бұрын
I wanna see some Cam and Rickea high low action also. I have Cam as a way too early prediction for ROTY. Think CC still has a chance to win it, but it will take Indy about 5 games to figure it out at least.

I agree the pick n roll with Cameron/Rickea would be dangerous. Idk why they aren’t playing together. It’s not like the Sparks are a title contending team

Hey MaxPower what are your thoughts on the Indiana Fever?
@audriwilliams79435 ай бұрын
After watching Brink, Rickea, Angel and a few others in Olympic/FIBA games I always felt like Brink's game would translate the best right away and she showed that. I was most impressed with Sheldon only because I expected Brink to have the game she did (foul trouble included lol). I expected Reese to have trouble with how much size Dallas has also, but think her debut was decent considering. Caitlyn's game against NYL today wasn't much better than her debut, but she'll get better. I think Boston is just a bit too slow for the transition and pick n' roll between her and CC. Would rather PnR with CC and Samuelson/Smith.
@maxpower2475 ай бұрын
I agree with everything you said. I’m worried about Clark + Boston…in theory it could work but like you said Boston seems too slow
@cobra72825 ай бұрын
All Brink needs to figure out right now is committing less fouls. Of course she will need to add some extra wrinkles over time, but I think it's pretty much a guarantee that she will become an all star caliber player. She just looks so comfortable on a WNBA court.
@ccu43835 ай бұрын
My dark horse for rookie of the year is Jaylyn Brown from the Dallas Wings. She did not have a good debut because she broke her nose but what I saw in the preseason she could end up winning it. Out of the more talked about rookies, I wouldn't be shocked if Cam wins it. I had Rickea as my ROY but the make up of the sparks roster + her staggered minutes makes me doubt it.
@khalfanjunim29825 ай бұрын
I'm still hurt by them waiving Burton. She may not look to score but her defense is elite, and she is the best rebounding guard after C Will. They lost Sims before this season which will also sting. I don't understand why Brown is starting over Seigrist. They need to put some respect on her name.
@violetforpb5 ай бұрын
Indiana needs to contribute Boston to their offense more, she does not look like her old self mainly because fever’s offense is now surrounded around clark more, their front court needs work, players like Katie Lou and nalyssa smith have barely gotten any touches their last few games.

College ball and Pro ball are two different games. Except the criticism from her new coach as a positive instead of a negative. ALL THE ROOKIES HAVE WORK TO DO. How about partnering up with a vet, so you can learn more.

would've thought brink's lithe body would be a detriment but she's looking like wemby out there. Easily the most wnba ready rookie, here's to hoping she cuts down on the fouls, cause if she can get to 28-32 minutes a game, she's running away with the roy award.
@Michael-of6zf5 ай бұрын
I watched 10 games with her playing, she has been in foul trouble or fouled out in every single one. I do goota say these refs are are quick to blow the whistles on the rookie than the veterans. A veteran can actually knock someone to the ground and no whistle but if a rookie lightly touches some one they blow the whistle like crazy.

Whenever CC handles the ball Indiana's offense seems to be stagnant but when she's benced they get the offense going. And CCs 2nd game was much worse than the 1st Stewie and Sabrina cooked them. I am highly doubtful CC, her game needs significant development, would win rookie of the year brink probably would or angel.
@prettyugly5 ай бұрын
I got Brink or Angel winning it too, because the W is still a league for bigs. Takes a little longer for guards and wings to develop.

The offense is stagnant because Caitlin isn't skilled enough to run the PG position right now. Plain and simple.
@mongoslade2775 ай бұрын
Her assist numbers should be better. Angel reese isn't winning ROY. All she can do is rebound. CC really needs to work on her handles, and those turnovers should go down. That jumper is always gonna be there. She'll be okay. It takes time. Only Candace Parker had a great rookie season, and she played with Lisa Leslie
