If you remember from the time Nami, Luffy and Zoro met Blackbeard and as they were walking away after his speech they said "Its not him, but THEY possibly". Maybe this could be foreshadowing something about Blackbeard and his ability to have multiple devil fruits, is this why Marco said he's not built like the common people and is "Irregular"?

It's a theory that's been talked about a lot. I really wonder why Luffy and Zoro classify Teach subjectively not with "He" but instead "They". after I've read One Piece until now, I can be sure that Luffy and Zoro might have a "Sense" that can feel the presence of the opponent at that time who felt Teach's existence was more than 1 person. if that's the reason Teach can eat 2 fruits at once, it means this Teach really has something that even goes beyond what "Normal Humans" can do. until now I think that Teach can take the Tremor2 devil fruit because of his Dark2 fruit because of his specialty which can absorb everything one of which is something magical like the power of a devil fruit, if DF User is helpless in Teach's hands it means he can just take the devil fruit and the power of darkness it can be a vessel for storing power and harnessing it.
