nulm is biosoil - exactly right. this is the richest soil possible, the true nature of terra preta

It looked cooler with the light back. Very cool as I never thought a golf fish could be truly healthy in a natural tank.

I love fancy goldfish. They will love the big tub.

Hopefully if the goldies go outside you can protect them from predation - they're just so trusting of visitors- my goldies are 4 yrs old now and about 6 to 8 inches- I have 5 of their babies too ❤
@LRBaquaticsАй бұрын
They are trusting of visitors! Thats one of my major roadblocks is I would want them to be protected so might be awhile until they make it outside.

awesome! i’ve always wanted oranda goldfish but thought they’d be too high maintenance. this is great.
@LRBaquaticsАй бұрын
Thank you for understanding it. Thats what I try to show for people is that it’s not as high maintenance as they make it to be.

I have oranda outside with some small koi. Other than herons, neighbor's cats, and raccoons, they are fine and some have been outside for a couple years.

Speaking of Goldies in a "filterless" aquarium, I just finished moving mine inside from the shallow pool pond outside, this weekend. The water was already freezing and took my time acclimating them to room temperature and moving them into the 75 gallon. I have noticed with breeding goldfish outside with lots of mulm and slow moving current if any. I've had to relocate my fish to different ponds Multiple times. Predators have been the biggest problem. If you can get sun shades over your ponds, it will help deter Predation from the sky, if that is a concern.

I work abroad for 7 months of the year and I keep my 3 fancy goldfish in a 400L pond out the back full planted with grasses and a lily they get no food but what they can scavenge and they do fine even more importantly the ecosystems is really well balanced and when the fry and big enough it's off to the shop they go

They are looking amazing. Them in a pond would look great 😊

I really like simple plant collections or even monoculture tanks like this one.

Would Southern heat kill them?
@LRBaquaticsАй бұрын
I don’t know. Good question. Definitely would need a shaded area. I might have a hard time putting out there cause I like how personal they are but I know they would eat really good out there and have lots of space to swim. In ground pond would stay cooler too.
@queenblehofghosting8963Ай бұрын
How often do you feed the goldfishes?
@LRBaquaticsАй бұрын
I feed them once a day but have bits of guppy grass for them to munch on as the sift and explore.
@farhaniskandar7782Ай бұрын
do you still reminelized your ro water and is it enough to just put dead coral stone?does it harden the water?
@LRBaquaticsАй бұрын
Definitely good to remineralize RO water. Relying on material to break down to remineralize takes to long to be real affective.

Will be interesting once they go to a big tub.. Especially if they breed

Have you ever seen those goldfish eat test snails?Tom from New Jersey 😊
@sewerrat7612Ай бұрын
They'll eat bladder snails.
@LRBaquaticsАй бұрын
If the snails are small enough they will eat them
@NewJerseyTomАй бұрын
@@LRBaquatics I have a 20 gallon long with Christmas moss. I'll make a short video. The snails are pretty small. But I have a bunch of female guppies in the same tank.
I always lose goldfish in my outdoor pond after heavy rain. I'm thinking they can't handle the ph drop. I've tried crushed coral and several other things to balance it out. I'm in Hawaii so when it rains it rains. I'm thinking about just throwing some cichlids in there instead. Had a pond full of Africans before and the rain never bothered them. Maybe do goldfish in a tub closer to the house that can be covered.
@LRBaquaticsАй бұрын
Hmm did you see bodies or did they disappear? Maybe predation if no bodies? I wouldn’t think rainwater would do that and know people who keep them outside in Hawaii.
@guildmaster808Ай бұрын
@LRBaquatics bodies found every time. No physical damage apparent. Maybe it's something coming in from the land runoff but I have other fish in there and only ever lost koi and goldfish.
@garystein9536Ай бұрын
They're thriving filterless. Wouldn't have those babies with a filter either. So funny how most people heavily filter goldfish as they are associated with high volume waste. LRB doing it, well done 👍
@justinchojnacki4716Ай бұрын
Do you sell the baby goldfish
@LRBaquaticsАй бұрын
I don’t breed enough of them to be able too. Not a fish I focus any breeding time on at the point. Maybe in the future I’ll do more.
