Benjamin, assuming that a goodly bit of really fundamental Gymnosperm evolution was achieved in the Paleozoic; how did the Gymnosperms fare through the End-Permian ecological crisis and those first few million stressful years of the Triassic? What was lost? What survived? And could you speculate a little on this? Thanks.

I know this is off topic, but pseudoephedrine is not as effective as the natural ephedrine extract. Maybe the stereo-isomer makes a difference in how it binds to some nerve recenter, or maybe there are other molecules in the plant that also have an effect. I understand the FDA outlawed ephedrine b/c they're worried about people making meth & they can control the supply of artificially produced pseudoephedrine... but pseudoephedrine is definitely not as effective on me.

You have real trouble reading scientific names, that is clear. I wasn't going to comment, but this 6:54 was too much. It's clearly Metasequoia glyptostroboides not "glyptostrobilus"...
