Nicely done. Maybe you can also address the Yellowstone volcano hot spot and the Snake River Plain? This structure is visible to the public, with interesting differences when compared to Hawaii. Thanks!

Why it formed the island chain? I mean if the Pacific Plate keeps moving northwest and the magma keeps melt the bottom of the crust. Then It will form a continuous land instead of an island chain?
@MichaelClark-uw7ex
@MichaelClark-uw7ex 5 жыл бұрын
The Pacific place changed directions ~40M years ago, it was moving north-northwest but now it is mostly west-northwest, look at the Emperor seamounts. Lava takes the path of least resistance, it most likely came up through cracks in the crust so the volcanoes form intermittently.

Way back in time, when japan was connected to north america Hawaii was located near alaska This is well before the earth expanded and we had the pacific spread we do today. Earth was once as small as mars and has grown the the side it is today. Just look at google earth and it's obvious. Everything was connected, on a smaller sphere, with no oceans.

0:59 Thats where we need to be disposing of nuclear waste. Not even kidding. Dump a sarcophagus designed to only break down after it reaches the bottom of the magma chamber, then the fuel can come out and safely melt down to the core where there is no water table to cause any water vapor blasts. Heck, even if you dumped the waste straight in, it would sink straight down and theb could easily dilute to less than 1000x the concentration of the origina, already safely dilute rocks it came out of if the chamber was big enough.
