It’s not new, it’s for cherry tomatoes, as it can be tedious slicing them individually. Just get a lid, you don’t even need same size plastic lids. I just lay them on chopping board, put a lid on top to hold them down, slice across. It does make life easier, by a little. Erm that’s a pun
