The Motherlode episode. Unsurprisingly, Lt Gen Ravi Shankar provided a 30k ft view of the Kargil Conflict. Very interesting insights. Couldn't help contrasting it with an episode by Bharat Shakti with Maj Gen Lakhwinder Singh. That was a 12k ft view of the same conflict! Equally interesting insights. As the respected Lt Gen cited, to underline the accuracy of Indian Army's Artillery, that the Infantry called for fire cover at 40mts; reminded me of yet another innovative use of the Artillery, its accuracy in particular, from the Bharat Shakti episode. In that instance, an Infantry unit that had become disoriented trying to reach enemy positions at the top of the hill, requested directions in the dead of the night and the Artillery opened up on enemy positions to deliver those directions. Bhaad mein gaye flares aur laser pointers; hum toh artillery shells se ujala banayenge!

It is not the Pakistan let their soldiers down, it was the military. Much of the money allotted for the defense in that country is swallowed by the army higher ups to support their lavish life style and building additional wealth for their 10th generations. So the front line is always short chained

Why did Pakistan not use its air force to attack Indian artillery positions? Did we have anti aircraft guns or SAMs to protect our artillery positions and forward ammunition storage?

Every time such show is done the host must look into the voice. This is pretty low. Otherwise 👌👍
