I love this painting. Yours is more beautiful than the masters. Yours, to me, even turned out to be a different scene. The mountain looks like it splits and the river would run through it. In the masters they look like all trees where that large dark spot is. It's so fun how a painting can evolve in this style. I love to watch you. Thank you so much.

You didn't attempt an exact copy of course - I was wondering though, looking at Seago's painting, how he got that warm brown in the trees - doesn't look like Burnt Umber, and was probably a mix; I'd like to try getting that..

It is fun to try and guess the colour pallette when doing master studies. But of course there are many ways to arrive at a colour!

First time I’ve heard “scumbling” - word of the month. Using a dry brush with acrylic that is nearly dry feels like the word sounds.
