How did the Black Ferns WIN the 2022 Rugby World Cup? | ANALYSIS

Tomorrow evening, the Black Ferns begin their 2023 season, to kick off the new World Cup cycle! After giving last year's World Cup Final time to sink in and give us a legacy, I thought this analysis video would be great as a curtain-raiser before tomorrow's test match against the Wallaroos!

I'm no rugby expert, never played the game, just a keen follower but an excellent analysis of the final. Lots of people have said had there not been a red card there may have been a different result. The fact of the matter is that England was all set up for a win at the very end with their line-out and maul that they are famous for. BUT, as you've pointed out, their line-out 'call' had been found out and Joanah 'The Hand' Ngan-Woo stole the ball and the rest is history!!

If you watch the game before Portia went off, she had broken the line tremendously 3 times already and was going to keep doing it all night. We'd quite possibly have beaten them by more points if she was still on and they hadn't lost a player, she was at her best and that's normally how it goes when she's at her best. The whole reason that tackle went wrong was because Portia was playing too damn good and the opposite player couldn't defend her legally.

This is coming from a AB and BF fan and fellow Kiwi , I agree with most of your post . The head clash between Portia and the English girl was a pure accident , by the rules it was definitely a Red card , there was no malice in it at all and my heart went out to the English lass , she must have been gutted . The argument that other posts have said England would have won if not for the red card could very well be true but also could just as well not be , Cards are playing a huge part in our game these days and so Lydia Thompsons Red card was just another part of the game , who is to know what the outcome would have been . England lost a player and BF lost maybe the most dangerous wing in world women's rugby ,It was a great game by all involved Bad Luck to England you played your part , in my opinion , the greatest Women's , if not all genders , Test match that has been played , That Red card rule will always be a confusing one to me and many others , I have seen plenty of yellow cards handed out to the same red card offences , not sure what the answer is but you wouldn't be a Ref for quids these days ,Good luck to the AB's heading into International season and WC , and as much as i dodn't think Fozzie is the man for the job, he will have my support for his last season .
