I'm not going to state my opinon or judgement. Just going to drop some Bible verses for the both of you. Genesis 2:22-24 And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Malachi 2:14-15 But you say, “Why does he not?” Because the Lord was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant. Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and let none of you be faithless to the wife of your youth. Genesis 6:2-3 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives ANY they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” Deuteronomy 17:17 And he shall not acquire many wives for himself, lest his heart turn away, nor shall he acquire for himself excessive silver and gold. Proverbs 5:18-19 Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love. Hosea 4:11 Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart Proverbs 31:3 Do not give your strength to women, your ways to those who destroy kings 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life-is not from the Father but is from the world. 1 Corinthians 7:1-5 Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Matthew 19:4-6 He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” Ephesians 5:31-32 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. Proverbs 6:25 Do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes; 1 Corinthians 7:2 But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. Matthew 5:27-28 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Proverbs 6:32 He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself. Colossians 3:5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 1 Corinthians 6:13 “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”-and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 1 Corinthians 6:16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; 1 Kings 11:3 He had 700 wives, who were princesses, and 300 concubines. And his wives turned away his heart. 1 Timothy 3:2 Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach 1 Timothy 3:12 Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. Titus 1:6 If anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination.

Why am I not surprised that the "alpha" here that is screaming polygyny only has one wife. Bro, take care of your ONE wife first, before you try to go get another. Clearly she has had hurts in her life and you bringing this stuff up is hurtful. Read Ephesians 5:31“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” Wife SINGULAR, and the TWO shall be ONE. This is clearly speaking of one husband and one wife. It's confirmed in v. 33 "However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband." None of that is plural. it's ALL singular. And before you try to contradict it the original greek word for one here is singular μίαν not "part of a set" like you tried to imply in another comment.

If you’re so keen on claiming that the Bible promotes polygamy, then please share some verses and their context to back up your claim. So far, the verses that have been shared were demonstrating through story how polygamy led away from God or they were about placing limits on a then-current cultural practice, which makes sense if the goal is to save sinners who already had multiple wives. Encouraging men to abandon all wives except their first wouldn’t exactly make the wives inclined to follow God.

@@RobBKowalski The overall message emphasizes monogamy as God’s intended design for marriage. Genesis 2:24 establishes marriage as a union between one man and one woman, describing them as becoming “one flesh.” Jesus reaffirms this in Matthew 19:4-6, pointing to the same model. The New Testament further upholds monogamy as the standard, with church leaders required to be “the husband of one wife” (1 Timothy 3:2). Though some biblical figures practiced polygamy, it often led to conflict and negative consequences, such as in the lives of Abraham, David, and Solomon. God’s warning in Deuteronomy 17:17 shows the dangers of multiple wives turning hearts away from Him. Monogamy is clearly presented as the biblical ideal, while polygamy results in strife.

Let me get this straight. Timothy and Titus both go over the qualifications to be a church leader, which is only having one wife. This was clarified due to Roman culture practicing polygamy, so the early church was ensuring the behavior wasn’t encouraged. So even if you wanted to practice it, you’d still be out of bounds advocating for this because you’ve disqualified yourself from being any kind of church leader or teacher. I’m not trying to accost you. If our goal is purity and blamelessness, you’re not setting that standard, broski. I’m not even full send with Mike Winger, but he gently corrected your theology, and you clapped back at him like a bully. We’re better than that, man. I read into your references, and you should really take the time to reflect on the potentiality of how corrupted your theology is. If I’m wrong, no one gets hurt. If you’re wrong, you are teaching a false gospel. I don’t want that for you.

This poor girl, look at how jealous Jacob's wives were. Leah said "now my husband will love me". Is that what you want? To place your value in your ability to have children so that your husband will love you. His carnality is leading you both to live worldly.
@coltonhuckaby1660
@coltonhuckaby1660 3 ай бұрын
Why start there? Why not with gen 29:31,33 "the Lord saw that Leah was HATED... Because the Lord has heard that I am HATED..." Or 30:1- 2 "When Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, she ENVIED her sister. She said to Jacob, "give me children, or I shall die! Jacob's anger was kindled AGAINST Rachel, and he said am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?" Notice how Jacob pushes the blame onto God whereas in gen 25:21 "Isaac prayed to the Lord for his wife, because she was barren. And the Lord granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived." See how Isaac's response was a humble request to the Lord whereas Jacob said it wasn't his problem? How about 30:15 "But (Leah) said to (Rachel), is it a small matter that you have TAKEN my husband? Would you take away my son's mandrakes also." See how they squabble over the man they both believe is theirs. See how worldly that is? 30:18 is directly tied to the mandrakes in v14-17. Mandrakes were thought to help with conception so the sisters were putting hope in the mandrakes instead of God. In 17 Leah sells the mandrakes for her husband which denigrates marriage to a transaction. Interestingly enough v14-17 have nothing to do with Zilpah which makes v18 look like Leah is projecting her thoughts onto God. Notice how the narrator doesn't confirm that God actually wanted Leah to give her servant? This is all framed by 29:31 where Leah was hated, and once Jacob has his 7th child in v21 (the number of completion) finally is Rachel remembered. Look at the context of the passage when picking out individual verses.
@coltonhuckaby1660

I'm not ashamed of God's words. I showed that Leah in v18 thought her child was because of her actions of giving her servant Zilpah. V14-17 show that Zilpah had nothing to do with it. Leah is twisting God's words not me. Read the entire passage. For 2 Sam 12, read the entire passage. David is being rebuked for taking another man's wife and having him killed. Your argument is, oh but God gave him Saul's wives. Sure but Deut 17:17 says that a king should not take many wives in the first because they will turn his heart away. Before you lecture someone else on 1 verse interpretation learn to read the entire passage in the original language, do word searches to understand how those words are used in different places, contrast the narrative with the law, and then see how Jesus, the apostles, and the prophets view that verse. That's how you humbly listen to God. What you've done is nuda scriptura

Unrighteous murder was never seen as a good thing in the bible. God always cleared things up if righteous murder (killing) occurred and he always condemned the ones that were wrong. As for rape, it was condemned in Deuteronomy 22:25-27. Rape is also wrong because it doesn't involve marriage, so your point is what exactly? If things are wrong, the bible calls it out clearly. @@RobBKowalski First, I'm just going to say that It's not my place to condemn or criticise. Yahweh (God as most Christians say) can change anyone. We all have our struggles. I don't know you or your wife, so I can't and won't comment about how much you care about her. Yahweh is judge and I'll let him do his job. However . . . to say the entire Bible was written by polygamous men is just wrong. We don't know the authors for all the books, but the ones we do know are mostly monogamous or not married - Moses, who wrote the first five books, had one wife Zipporah. It's possible he married two (a Cushite), but it's likely that the Cushite was Zipporah, as there were Cushites that lived in Midian. Plus, Cushite was often used to describe someone who had dark skin, as national borders and nationalities were fuzzy at the time. Zipporah was either a Cushite who lived in Midian or she was a dark-skinned Midianite. - Samuel had two sons, but his wife (possibly plural, I suppose) is never mentioned. - As far as I know, neither Ezra or Nehemiah were married. - David, who wrote much of Psalms, had multiple wives. - Solomon, who probably wrote some Psalms, as well as Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon and maybe Job, had multiple wives. - Isaiah the prophet was married, to one woman. - Jeremiah the prophet, who also wrote Lamentations, was not married - Ezekiel the prophet was married (sort of, his one wife dies partway into the book) - Daniel . . . no idea. Probably not. You'd think that if he was married, she would show up when he got tossed into the lion's den. - Hosea was married to one woman, a prostitute. - Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zechariah, and Malachi are all uncertain. No clue whether or not they were married. - None of the disciples who wrote the Evangels are ever mentioned as being married. - Paul was not married - Jacob . . . no clue. - Peter had a mother-in-law that the Messiah healed, so it's assumed he was married. Note he only has one mother-in-law, which means one wife. - And finally, John was never mentioned as being married. So, the final tally is 4 married authors with one wife, 3 married authors with multiple wives, 2 authors who are explicitly not married, and 18 where nobody knows. All of which proves that "The entire Bible was written by men who practiced this (this being polygamy)" is wrong.

here is a verse: 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” It doesn't say a man shall leave his parents and get numerous wives. One wife. Singular. They are no longer two but one... @RobBKowalski The overall message emphasizes monogamy as God’s intended design for marriage.

I would absolutely love to chat with you guys about this and am more than willing to answer any questions you may have. I will say that I was not always excited about the idea of polygyny, in fact, I was adamantly against it and had a good chunk of time where I cried out to the Lord half the time wanting answers, half the time feeling sorry for myself. But ultimately, I realized that my feelings didn't trump the truth, so I had to find out what the truth was and then deal with the feelings after the fact. I decided yet again that I never wanted to get to a crossroads in my life where God was asking me to choose my way or His way and choose my way because it was more comfortable. I knew that if I choose my comfort over His way, I would cease being useful to Him. So regardless of how difficult the path may seem, if God is asking me to walk it, I cannot, and will not, say no to Him. That's ultimately what it came down to. After I made that choice, things were hard for a time because you do deal with feelings and thoughts and images that really seem to throw you back, but I can easily say that I am now at the place where I am genuinely excited about the prospect of a sister wife! I cannot wait (and in fact I kind of bug my husband about it) to add to our family in this way! God is merciful and faithful. And we know that if He is asking us to walk a path, then there is something better for us on it than in our own little imaginations. Feel free to message me! Lev. 20:10 defines adultery and proves a woman can only have one man... Multiple layers of illustrations also prove it. Agriculturally, a woman is a field into which the man plants seed, then harvests the fruit of the womb. Man can own multiple fields, but a field cannot have mixed seed. Woman belongs to man, he is her master. 1 Cor 11:3... man's master is Messiah. Woman's is man. Just as man cannot serve two masters, woman cannot, either.

Good debate brother - just some tips in the future - Try to avoid all the emotional stuff. It's what they want to do. When someone tried to exalt Mary (blessed is the womb that you came from) - the Messiah immediately went back to the Word - Blessed rather - is the one that hears and obeys the Word of YAH: Psalm 19:7 The torah of YAH is perfect - reviving the soul. (which part of torah wasn't perfect?) Isaiah 51:7 “Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my torah. Numbers 15:16 The same torah and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigners living among you. Psalm 119:172 May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commandments are righteous. (which one wasn't righteous?) Psalm 119:142 Your righteousness is everlasting and your torah is true. Who is the Word of God made flesh: Revelation 19:13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. Is it possible to do violence to his torah? Yes - and "believers" have done violence to his torah many times in the past: Ezekiel 22:26 Her priests do violence to my torah. Zephaniah 3:4 they do violence to the torah. Mark 7:13 And so you cancel the word of God in order to hand down your own tradition. And this is only one example among many others. They also physically did violence to the Word of God - by having him crucified. .... So show them the Word of YAH where the Creator blesses men with polygyny (2 samuel 12:8). He blessed Jacob's wife for finding Jacob an additional wife. The Creator chose polygyny to start the 12 tribes of Israel. His torah allows polygyny (Exodus 21:10). Jesus himself described himself marrying 5 virgins. Why would he describe himself in that position if it is an "anathema?" And then ask them - is the torah of YAH perfect (Psalm 19:7)? Is it an everlasting righteousness? Are the Creator's Way just and true? Yes or No. If they say - "NO" - they need to understand they are grabbing a sword and striking the Savior in the back - Jesus (YAHUSHUA the Messiah). Because that's what the Creator says - they do "VIOLENCE" to my torah. Jesus is the Word made flesh. The Salvation of YAH from the Tribe of Judah - the one who paid the price for our lawlessness, so we can be cleansed clean by his Word (John 17:17); walk according to the Ways of the Creator - and "HIS" righteousness. If they try to use Paul - ask them - are you saying Paul was teaching darkness? For it's written: Isaiah 8:20 Look to the torah and testimony! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark. Apostle Peter warned - his letters are easily twisted by the un-learned - to their own destruction. He says the torah is Holy, Righteous, and Good. Do you truly think the "law" he is speaking against is torah and not the talmud. End of the day - is Heaven and Earth still here? If yes - according to Yahushua the Messiah (Jesus) the torah has not been done away with. It is easier for heaven and earth to pass than the smallest iota to drop from the torah. Then ask them - are you bearing false witness against the Savior? The one who paid the price and suffered for your lawlessness? Are you calling him a LIAR? Are you breaking the 9th commandment against Jesus (Yahushua)? Then inform them - that many many that call him Lord and casted out demons in his name - will not make it. Due to lawlessness. What is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4. It's transgression of the torah. To add or take away (including polygyny) is sin. AVOID - AVOID - AVOID the emotional stuff. Point it back to the WORD IMMEDIATELY. The Word is not "THOU SAYS YOU OR ME." The Word comes from the Creator. If they are against the Word - they are against their own Salvation whom they put their faith/trust in. No emotions. Either the Creator's Ways are Perfect, Holy, and Righteous; or THEY ARE NOT.

The Bible tells us to obey the laws of the land. Polygamy is illegal. So to be in polygamy you must break the law. Secondly, in every example of polygamy in the Bible, the family was a total mess. Lots of jealousy and drama between the women, etc. Thirdly, in the book of Ephesians 5: 25-33 it explains that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church and died for her. In verses 31 and 32 it says a man is to be united to his wife and the TWO will become ONE flesh. And that marriage is a picture of Christ and the Church. Christ has one wife. You cannot do what is described there with more than one wife. Fourthly, I saw your written response to Mike Winger, and the FIRST thing you mentioned is that his looks won’t get him any intimacy with any woman. Out of the mouth the heart speaks, and that “getting sex” was the first measure of someone you talked about, shows me you are NOT interested in taking care of a wife as much as you are interested in “getting” from her/them. You just are thinking with another body part, not your heart and brain.

"I used to think the same thing because like many people that's the way that account has been taught to us. I personally was raised in a cult that claims to be Christian (JWs) and upon realizing they taught many false doctrines, I had to reexamine everything I believed based on what the Bible actually said. (They had/have a habit of cherry picking verses out of context and this is one of the many passages they did this with.) I personally changed my mind on how I understood this passage after rereading the Bible in context. So we have to take into account 3 things with this passage and Paul's words in general. 1. The audience 2. The Greek words used 3. The context in how the passage is applied. As for the audience, Paul was sent to the Gentiles, many of which had a monogamous culture or were living in a place where monogamy was the norm. (Note: In monogamous cultures, although a man would only marry one woman at max, prostitution was historically normal those cultures, which is also reflected in some of Paul's writings to the Gentiles.) As for the Greek word that is translated as 'one' for the one wife verses, that same word is also translated as 'first' or 'a' in other passages. It doesn't always mean literally 1. Even in English we can use the word one to not literally mean ONLY one. For example, I might say, "Before someone walks my dog, they need to have one." I'm saying they need to have experience with a dog not literally just one dog. And that is actually a fitting example for the context of the one wife verses, because Paul is saying in order to qualify they should have a wife. There should be no bishop who is not married according to these verses. Paul's point in context is that in order to care for God's household a man needs to be proved competent in caring for his own household. Also it's important to note that in Greek there is a word for 'only' which appears in another place in at least on of the books that has a one wife verse, and yet it is absent from the one wife verses. And we are also warned in the Bible about people misunderstanding Paul's words. Often he is taken out of context. Also, in the same letter to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:3, Paul warns about how in the latter times people would forbid to marry. The Christian church overall historically didn't ban a man from marrying multiple wives until the 1500s. The monogamy-only mindset saying polygyny was wrong originated from pagan Gentile nations. And a number was done on cultures where men had multiple wives. Just about all cultures with people of color used to practice this up until the last few hundred years when nations and the church started changing the cultures and taking over the people. (To be clear I'm not saying all the men in those cultures practiced this, but it was accepted in those nations and cultures before they were taken over by other nation's ideologies. And even the religion I was raised in does this still today. In Africa where polygyny is common, they only allow a man to keep his first wife. I saw a video where they interviewed a woman who left her family (she was the second wife so she had to leave her husband to get baptized into the religion,) and she was homeless and lost contact with her young children for a time...all to join a religion with a false Christ. 🤦‍♀️ This is a terrible thing to do to families and it's still being done. In the past couple hundred years the definition for adultery was changed as well. Biblically and even on the old US laws in some states, the real definition of adultery is only a man sleeping with a woman who belongs to another man- a woman who is married or engaged to another man. (The man's marital status is irrelevant.) A married man sleeping with a single woman is not Biblically or historically considered adultery. (It would be sin if he didn't take her as a wife, but it's not the sin of adultery.) As women we have been indoctrinated to think that it would be demeaning for our husband to have another wife. But meanwhile we are overworked and exhausted, and many women are single as a result of a lack of men and especially quality men. In Biblical households there were often multiple women which allowed multiple women to be provided for and to share the workload. It actually benefits us as women in multiple ways when done correctly when the man is righteous. And that's why God in His Law said that if a man takes another wife, he must still continue to provide physically for the first (including having relations with her.) And Paul said in multiple verses that he upheld God's Law. He never once taught against it according to his own words." @alishaba

All I need to do is find one pillar in this foolishness... The lie you just told in terms of the Greek word for "one" in terms, is proof. The Greek word for one is singular in number and contextually, in koine as an adjective and object identifier. Singular means one. Timothy was not a "gentile". He was a Christian pastor. The idea that Gentile populations were monogamous is about as sound as theology gleaned from TikTok. Arabs, Romans, Indians, the Celts, the Gauls, and the Vikings ALL practiced polygamy culturally as both a norm and as a boon in many cases.

@@RobBKowalski You are trying to use the Greek word μίας to justify polygamy, arguing that it means “a,” “first,” or “one of a set,” you are misinterpreting the text. In passages like 1 Timothy 3:2, where it says, “the husband of one wife” (ἑνὸς ἀνδρὸς μιᾶς γυναικός), the meaning is clearly singular. The phrase explicitly indicates that a man should be married to one woman, emphasizing monogamy, as the surrounding text highlights faithfulness and moral character qualities compromised by polygamy. The New Testament consistently emphasizes singularity, as seen when Jesus teaches that marriage is about two becoming “one flesh” (Matthew 19:4-6), referring back to Genesis 2:24, which establishes monogamy as God’s design. While polygamy was practiced in the Old Testament, the New Testament shifts toward monogamy as the ideal for marriage, particularly in the qualifications for church leadership found in 1 Timothy and Titus. Furthermore, polygamous relationships often led to jealousy and conflict, as seen in the lives of Abraham, Jacob, David, and Solomon. These stories illustrate that while polygamy occurred, it was never without significant problems and was not presented as an ideal model for marriage. Using the Greek word μίας to justify polygamy is a misunderstanding of the biblical text. Both the linguistic and theological context strongly support monogamy, and the use of μίας in passages like 1 Timothy 3:2 reinforces the importance of being the husband of one wife. The New Testament consistently upholds this as the biblical model for marriage.

@brothersamuelrogers8138 2 ай бұрын
@RobBKowalski 1st, we don't know if at thier death they still had multiple wives. 2 Abraham only had 1 wife. And some concubines i beleive. 3, the old Covenant and mosaic law are dome away with. Completely. No where in the new testament is polygamy taught, or approved. Jesus was pretty serious about remarriage being adultery, and leaving mother and father to cling to your WIFE, singular. In fact he looked back to Adam who had 1 wife. The first man to have 2 wives was lamech and he was a murderer. If you go down this road to destruction, you will be given over to a strong delusion to beleive a lie and be damned.

@@brothersamuelrogers8138 ok. Number one... I cannot prove it either way just as you stated... So, to my statement... I concede. Not EVERYTHING you said was false. 🙂 Number two... All concubines are slave wives. In every place in scripture where a concubine is mentioned, they are wives. Not all wives are concubines though. If a man were to marry a free woman, she would be his wife. IF he marries a slave, she would be a concubine. Note that Hagar was given to Abraham but was still a slave to Sarah. Here is an example: 2Sa 20:3 And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood. An unmarried person is never a widow. They were left as widowed... And another: Gen_30:4 And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her. Gen_30:9 When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her Jacob to wife. Gen_30:10 And Zilpah Leah's maid bare Jacob a son. In verse 10, she is still called Leah's maid.... Slave / Wife... = Concubine Number three.. I am glad that you stated that the covenant and the law... This indicates that you understand that they are not the same thing. Kudo's to you for that. You are ahead of most.... The covenant was a marriage covenant made at Mt. Sinai. The law as it is referred to was God's instructions for righteousness. The law is forever as God's righteousness is forever. Psa 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. Number 4... Remarriage is NOT adultery. If a woman is properly divorced, she may go an marry another. Deu 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. Deu 24:2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife. Most people want to cite Matthew 19 but that is strictly talking about "putting away" and not divorce... Number 5... Adam had one wife... Most likely? Scripture never said. I am guessing it is true but it never said that anywhere.. Number 6... Lamech killed a man in self defense. It is very evident that it is not murder as he cites a known murderer as getting 7 times protection and then says that he should get 77 times protection over the man who he killed after that man tried to harm him so much that Lamech was injured from it. That is SELF - DEFENSE Believing the bible is not believing a lie. Scripture is shared over and over again of men that God was very pleased with. Even so far as to say that they did no sin against him when they had multiple wives... 2Ch 24:2 And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest. 2Ch 24:3 And Jehoiada took for him two wives; and he begat sons and daughters. And let's not forget King David! King David kept the Torah 1Ki 15:5 Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. Given that the first one in this list of yours was correct, I concede but not for all the rest. 🙂

@@RobBKowalski Well when you consider a woman is only free to remarry as a widow or with a bill of divorce, I am struggling to figure out how you found a beautiful available woman over the age of 16. I mean we can't just take the woman's word for it. I'm pretty sure she wasn't abandoned. Men are better than that. A man will sacrifice happiness for family.
