Thumbnail looks like it would have been an interesting feature. But what it ended up being didn't even need the tree, it's just a huge bridge.
@GunghoEel4 ай бұрын
Agree. Hats off to you for all the hard work, but sadly, imo the bridge just hides the beauty of the tree. I would have preferred to see you incorporate the tree in a more natural way that really features it: like only adding a small ramp onto it, then riding on the actual tree itself (it's wide enough without shaving the top), and just shaping/cutting the end lip to ensure a smooth pop to a gap jump, and building a wooden or dirt off-ramp. It would have been less work, required less wood, looked more natural, and be more sustainable. Unfortunately, the tree is almost completely covered in timber, it seems like the rider can barely even tell the tree is there.

For most people, this is just another trail building video from their favourite youtuber. But through a filmmakers lens, I am super impressed with your story telling, and how you somehow manage to make it better every single video. I think you might have the best story telling channel on youtube.

If you feel that you aren't hitting it, you could cut off the landing at 17:15 so that you make it, which could help you to hit other jumps. I am also worried about the log moving over time which could make the feature unsafe

If you have enough speed to clear the last one just rolling down the landing of the whale tail, you will obviously over clear it hitting it at trail speed and when the riding surface isn't a sandbox/beach (if that ever happens since you built it out of sand despite showing us your easy access to what appeared to be some good clay).

For a trail that’s supposed to be intermediate, you’re having a lot of trouble, even when you can clear the much harder jump lines. If it’s intermediate, this jump line should be almost too easy for you.
