Today i thought i would make a short video about how the Navvies excavated Railway cuttings.
I didn't actually intend to make this video today, i went out to make another, not far from this location, but it didn't work out, that one will have to be shelved for another day.
In actual fact, there would have been quire a bit more footage in this video, but like a wally, i dropped my phone, that i record with, screen down in the snow!
So if you watch this, and wonder why i haven't recorded much footage, now you know why!
Anyway, as most of you may know by now, the real facination in terms of exploring these kind of works, for me lies with the men that built them...the Navvies, so i popped down to a local cutting near me to look at a deep cutting on the former Ashby & Nuneaton joint Railway, to try and get a sence of how they would of gone about it, especially in terms of getting rid of the muck.
Anyway thanks for watching and please like, subscribe and share, cheers, Steve.

Thanks Matt, I almost didn't upload it, and nearly went back at a later date when the snow had gone, because I found something else interesting up there, but it was largely under snow cover.

Cheers mate, it's not too bad, but there are quite a lot of brambles, hidden by the snow on this occasion!
