Such a beautiful country! Certainly wish the weather was better. I was cold just watching, and the wind! I'm heartsick for you not getting to explore the cave! You were so excited with the prospect. Certainly hoping you find many, many more amazing places as consolation. Another beautiful Scotland video. When we visited Ardvreck castle it was high tide and the land crossing to get to the castle was underwater so it was a very quick stop for us. Smoo Cave was one of our favorite stops tbh. The waterfall inside with the sun shining on the pool in the cave made for a magical experience. We played a round of golf up there at the Durness golf course because why not, its Scotland the birthplace of the game. Bringing back some wonderful memories

The base of the tower was the site of "public pooping" Clachtoll is a site we have used. Nice place but we were ripped off there before Covid. Stoer light is a nice park up. That Cocoa Mountain is awesome but too much chocolate is not good for me LOL. PS we have had good weather all this month. Now I have to go to the craft village in Durness again LOL. Two good back ups beyond that spot too.

Scotland is really nice in August lol! I went years ago and it was during the Edinburgh Fringe, great atmosphere. Glad you had some nice weather, beautiful when the sun is out 😊

Calm? 🤦🏽‍♀️Oh dear u've been cat fished😜 lol I bet u guys will enjoy the warm weather a little more now 😜lol I've never seen u guys so bundled up 🥶 lol Now that was a magical looking waterfall for sure 👍🏽. Seems you had a day of comparatively sensational bloody weather. Except for having been too wet for the cave. We did a boat ride into a cave in Vietnam. It was really tops fun. Don't you love European doggo friendliness. We were in a restaurant in Lyon once. Michelin starred. We were sitting next to a lovely family. When they got up to leave a bloody great doggo came out from under there table. No one batted and eyelid. It was very cool. I can't imagine it here. If our quarantine laws weren't so strict it would be great to take the dog for an extended jaunt in Europe. Great video again!

The last MacLeod laird was Neil of Assynt. He was/ is my great, great, great.......grandfather. He was kicked-out of the castle for three factors. 1) for holding Montrose. In point-of-fact his wife betrayed Montrose. But as Neil was the husband he got all the blame - how times have changed! 2) The locals disliked him for, in order to ridicule their fake pious ways every Sunday, he gambled, hunted , etc. And 3) the sea raid by the MacKenzies - armed-to-the-teeth with weighted Gucci handbags - how times have changed.

I was amazed at how much was available at that campsite, top notch and to be honest that's a very good price for that. Before 2020 the average cost for a lesser site was around £15 per night but doubled everywhere during and after Lockdown. Great find and I doubt that I would want to leave it. My pooping was always done in remote woodland, well out of the way when I roadside camped. Love that signage though 👍
