So many beautiful places, and all so clean. I could almost smell the Cherry blossoms. I am so sorry for all those stairs dear. I have cranky knees as well, I know your struggle. Enjoying Japan with you guys. ❤ Cute little van reminds me of the van in New Zealand. I'm wondering if you need do anything extra to drive in other countries? I'm sure you'd need to read up on the different rules of the road. Do you have to carry a rider on your vehicle insurance or is it through the rental company? In America we can pay for coverage extra, which is advised. Otherwise your vehicle insurance would be charged if you have an accident. Safe travels and GOD bless

Thank you Alice 😊🙏there are a few things to consider when driving in Japan , very similar road rules but google gets very confused sometimes , an international driving permit is needed but that’s a simple thing to acquire 🤩🇯🇵insurance is included with the hire , road tolls can be expensive if you want to use the expressways 😬🚐

That was absolutely beautiful. I've been to one of the atom bomb sites on a Cruise but never been on holiday to Japan. I wouldn't queue for hours for a photo either. Beautiful place, thanks for sharing.

I visited Japan in 2007. My daughter and son-in-law lived in Sapporo. I was only in Tokyo at the airport. Mt Fuji with the cherry trees looks beautiful.

I partied in Gotemba, that village at the foot of the mountain. We spent several days there, and had a blast. Also, we did go to the top of Fuji, well as far as we could. Awesome episode!

Thanks stu 😊🙏out of season is the best way to travel I agree 🚐yes it’s hard to go back to a smaller van but there’s nothing as big in Japan that’s not astronomically expensive and impractical on the Japanese roads 🚐🇯🇵

Hi, Sandy, and Tim, no Pablo.. I am pleased to hear that you are happy with Japanese PPL's hospitality. Of course, they should know you two are famous YT ber, right? hahahahah The view of Mt. Fuji, the temple and cherry blossom flowers in one frame is Superb! The height, the angle, and the time are perfect, I reckon. I am glad to know you did not have to deal with crowds as you visited. Ice Cream? ooops It is Soft Cream, it says. ahhhh, Mount Fuji has a strong pungent smell of sulfur due to volcanic activity and geothermal vents that release boiling, sulphurous water and gas. No wonder, boiling eggs with actually burns the egg shells. Now I can almost smell it. hahaha You two seated with other passengers in the cable car??? Couldn't you stand and film the view? I guess not, BC of the safety? I am amazed that Tim handle driving a JP small skinny van. I guess you seem to sleep in like a capsule hotel. Well done. I hope you are able to enjoy some JP food sometime. I assume that you visited JP early spring?? I cannot wait for next episode. Yahoooooo. BTW, Donna's adventure and her hubby, Lyndonsadventure, Canadians, visited JP last year. Can I recommend your channel if they have not connected???? Let me know.

We looked into a camper from Japan Campers the last time we went but we'd need a 4 berth and it wasn't going to fit in our budget. We'd still like to do it one day though. Fuji is magnificent isn't it. When we went we woke early and it was perfect, bathed in sunshine. But by about 10am it was just shrouded in clouds. It peaked out again later in the afternoon but it would've been disappointing for day trippers from Tokyo. 😆🗻 We had a room with an onsen on the balcony looking out over the lake and Fuji. It was pretty awesome. I hope you got to try proper onsen eggs. Those black eggs are way over cooked. You can get onsen eggs fresh from the onsen water outside traditional ryokans. Usually about 50 cents each. The last time we bought them we ate them in a 7 eleven car park. Speaking of which, aren't the conbinis like 7 eleven awesome. We lived on the sandos during road trips. Famichicken, fried chicken, from family mart is my crack. 😆🐔 Brilliant job Sandvanners!! 👁 ♥ 🗾
