How Did This Single Card Make Golgari -SO- Much Better?!

It's nice when the mono-red deck uses the dragon sleeves. Less nice when the mono-red deck does it's best to make it look like a blue deck. Mono red putting a buff spell on the card getting blocked by Glissa is such a classic

I'd like to make a suggestion for decks like this. Cut Down is (obviously) a good card for control, but when a deck has more creatures I find that Disfigure consistently outperforms Cut Down in the same slot. Maybe this is just the (much lower) level I'm playing at, but so many times I've been able to remove a Sheoldred or similar with a Disfigure simply by attacking in with things like Dreadknight. Obviously, the better the opponent, the more carefully the attack has to be made, or they'll just get suspicious. Similarly, it would've completely changed the debate you were having with yourself at 7.50 about wanting to remove Sheoldred or the Sentinel - if the Cut Down in your hand was Disfigure, you could've freely attacked with both your creatures, - if they block your Sentinel you get a 1 mana blowout (keep your Sentinel and they lose theirs) and you still get to hold up the Go For the Throat for Sheoldred (plus opponent might even believe you were making a bluff attack as they know you have Go for the Throat, so might make the block to try to force you to use it on the Sentinel so they can keep their shelly). Maybe I'm wrong - maybe better players just get better value from Cut Down (and certainly Cut Down is better specifically against Raffine, which could be enough on its own to tip the balance) - but with especially with disposable creatures like Dreadknights, or Underdogs, or tokens from Jadar/Lagomos/Forge whatever, I really feel like Disfigure can do so much. Anyway, that's my plea for a pet card over - back to the video :)

I dropped 2 lands and added 2 Tear Asunder. Never upset to have an answer to artifacts/enchantments or an extra expensive removal card if I'm desperate.

Yeah, Tear Asunder is card that was good to me always - solid value, always useful somehow :)

Just wanted to clarify, Bronco doesn't draw cards (put in hand and draw are different, like with the new card, Nadu), so Sheoldred won't trigger. Dreadknight, however, does, and it works beautifully with Sheoldred. Arena shuffler is really messed up. If I run 4 Sheoldreds, I will go games without seeing one, ever, even if I draw a ton of cards off the knight. If I run 2, I can play her every game. Arena awards the 1-2 ofs a lot of times.

I think golgari is the best home for freestrider lookout because of how easy it is to commit crimes but I haven't been able to make it work the way I want. Would love to see your take on golgari ramp.

Yeah, I thought about it when editing - but in the end, I think we mitigated more damage by removing counter, as kumano died anyway (if I recall right)

I think it was too much risk to tap out at 10:00 against Golgari. Hold mana up for removal would have been the safest play, since you already qas in a good position and opponet showed a tail swipe. If he top decked one it would wave been a big drawback.
