I added one copy of harmless offering to this deck which you can cast with the mirror to win the game. I went 2, off each lillaina, 2 askok. one copy bandits tallent. The deck slaps, the abilty to shut down the other players draw engine with get lost. While making them discard 2 cards. means if i dont draw into my harmless offering win condtion. I win with a trio of plansewalkers.

I appreciate what you do sloth. After a long difficult day, its nice to come home and unwind watching someone with such positive energy. Sometimes I don't want to play because im just not in the mood to deal with the shuffler lol. But i enjoy watching you play and hearing your thinking on the lines you take. I hate this deck, not because it's UW tho. I like control, but this is UW built by a mono red player. I don't think it's that great, it matches well against mono red basically. But I really hate it because after it won't a tournament it's all you see on ladder. I played against it 7 times in a row yesterday. Only lost when I got flooded with lands. Lockdown wrecks it.

Yeah, it is basically a boros aggro with blue :) I think the secret to its success is fact it can outrace red decks with this massive bunnycorn lifelink, while they also can't kill it after it has been sheltered, nor trade, nor hit face. But yeah, not my style for sure too :) And to be fair, lockdown is card that wins incredible amount of matchups atm, shame we can only play 4x sometimes ;)

so they took dimir made it into azorious?! i knew i was onto something.... so i took dimir and made it into esper adding healer hawk and shard mage rescue so not only can i gain a little bit of life but i also felt like i needed another 1 drop to cast kaito and dazzling denial needed another bird but i totally like the idea of taking it the whole step and playing white over black but then i lose kaito completely.... imma toy with this a bit i think some combined version of dimir and this should be worth trying bare minimum 😅 later sloth thank you for curing my "writers block"

the through line I'm seeing across all of these decks is Vaultborn Tyrant, that is the game winning card as it produces so much value, to the point where even reanimating valgavolth is just gravy as the tyrant actually put in all the work, it does everything: draws cards, goes plus on removal, and can even dodge an edict if the opponent forgets to check (one of my favourite moments btw lmao) all in all I've really enjoyed your videos and you have a really fun personality which when combined with your accent makes for really fun videos keep up the work and I look forward to seeing this channel grow immensely in the coming year

This deck makes me laugh...because I tried a dino deck similar to this a few weeks back and ending up also needing the lockdowns and I used day of judgement to trigger a draw instead of exiling.

Yeah that’s a good idea. Most will say to craft your rare dual lands, in the colors you want, first. Keep in mind building dual and multi color mana bases can be tricky. Personally I don’t think you need 4x of every dual land for your decks BUT having them will make your plays more consistent. Again 4x rare lands aren’t always necessary. Feels good to have them but tbf we both know the fun is in the real rare and mythicals haha. I would advise to pick an archetype you like to play. Focus on that. Grind mythic and you will learn a lot about which ever deck/play style you chose. You will learn things you didn’t even know you could learn about the game. Just keep in mind for midrange/control decks you absolutely do not always need play sets of rares and mythics. Keep that in mind while crafting and it will save you a bit of grief 😊

I can say with some certainty after testing multiple iterations of this type of deck that any version with "Analyze the Pollen" has performed worse than those without it. It's just a card that doesn't work too well in the meta and you'd almost always want to have something else. For some reason I find I rarely have enough in my graveyard to cast it. That said, the deck is still good and I won over 50% of my matches. But 2 other builds I have of this were in the 70-80% range in Bo3.
