It makes sense, Aizen explained, that vice captains have the choice of declining whatever to be one or not for the division's captains, just like Kaien did. And it also makes sense that Isshin accepted him, as this is what kind of a person he is

I think it’s pretty wholesome the connection between Isshin, Toshiro and Rangiku! I find it funny that Toshiro is likely one the few males who isn’t attracted at Rangiku at all and that makes their relationship so trusting (it’s clear when Rangiku was Isshin 2nd she got annoyed at his perverted nature).

Hitsugaya is the most wasted character when there were so many plot lines to explore him into the story. Most notably Isshin which connects him with Ichigo

What? Uryuu's dad is the most wasted character. The dude shows up a handul of times and then is intregal to saving the world. At least Isshin had a moment v. Aizen, even then he's wasted after that.

Toshiro was considered one of the geniuses lineup byakuya, gin, aizen, urahara and mayuri

5:21 for me I read it that Kubo possibly hadn’t decided the exact state of Isshin backstory back in the Arrancar arc or in story Toshiro and Rangiku decided to let their former captain be incognito out of respect to him (instead of confronting him for leaving the soul society in the first place) that’s just my thoughts

Kubo is known for keeping a lot of secrets about certain plots and back stories. But thanks to Bleach analysts like you, some of those secrets are actually exposed.

Matsumoto came many times to Karakura town but not once she met her ex captain Mr.Kurosaki? Toshiro too is friend with Karin but not talks about his father to her?

Interesting. Coincidence and yet so very well placed. Aizen doing something like that is in line with his character. As mentioned elsewhere it would be great if we get a full Shiba family reunion including members we have not met.

Has he ever said if SAFWY is canon? I'm tired of seeing people saying it's not.

I believe he has said somewhere that it is faithful to his work (as mentioned by Mr Tommo). I'm not sure if that makes it canon, but it at the very least means that Kubo considers it faithful to his vision of Bleach.

@raghuvarv Yeah I read Narita has a huge knowledge of the verse, so it should be officially considered canon, these novels add a lot to Bleach and no legacy characters are killed or ruined.

does it matter though? Whatever it's canon or not, it provides useful information that actually is useful to the plot

@@soul8648 For me, yes, it is something that greatly enriches the lore if its in fact official events, It seems pointless to take information from something that is not part of the story. It's still really cool and very well written, but at least for me, I wouldn't have the same interest.
