Another great podcast. I loved the Net Gains segment. I'm a little weak between the ears so the concept of pre acceptance really resonated with me. Learning how to stop wasting my energy on things I can't control would help me to clear the slate instead of carrying the negative energy with me to the next points. Thanks for "learning" us Justin!

Nice podcast. What do you think of Neonic Flow Prime-X?
@robertbenjamin52302 ай бұрын
Great episode AGAIN! It does seem like the smaller diameter core cell size coupled with the lower density ppl is a very good combination. What other paddles besides the new Neonic are using that combination?

You guys are using any weight in the handle on that FPX?
@Pickleballetc2 ай бұрын
No weight in the handle for me. Not sure about Louis. The balance point is already pretty low stock since it's a 14mm standard shape so I didn't feel the need to add any weight in the handle.
@PickleballPursuit2 ай бұрын
I put 12 grams in handle. Even if the balance point is low on a paddle I like having a little more static weight

@@Pickleballetc Thanks for the response! Seems like you guys are different there! Would love to hear more about that. Played with it last night and really enjoyed it coming from an Olympus.

@@PickleballPursuit Nice, when I played with the M2F 14mm (my longest main ever) I played with about 10g in the handle. I think I will throw some weight in the FlarePX handle to get it to a similar feel as that paddle.

Any idea what the core/layup combo is for the Ronbus FX series?
@tylerhilgers81962 ай бұрын
Video idea! I follow a few channels you’re aware of and many are doing Black Friday deal reviews which are great. However, I haven’t seen one yet give their opinion on ranking the deals. For example, the Honolulu discount code isn’t huge, but adding a discount to an already great deal may be a better deal in general than a paddletek discount, you know? So I’d love to see you put out a video showing all BF deals and ranking them based on your opinion considering paddle quality, pricing, discount, etc!

I'm leaning towards the SAGA Flash 16 over the OLYMPUS. Justin thanks for going to NT on cores. Been curious about this for years. Are there several companies making PP? Hoping VATIC is using the best availble on the SAGA.

@MattyRut29222 ай бұрын
Justin, why are so many of the new power paddles 14mm? The Ronbus Ripple 16mm failed testing, but the 14mm passed… is it the same reasoning behind the 14mm surge?
@PickleballPursuit2 ай бұрын
Most likely because 14mm paddles deflect less than a thicker core paddle. A lot of these new power paddles have squishy cores
@MattyRut29222 ай бұрын
@@PickleballPursuit Yes and they are also making the new Power Paddles in a 14mm because the foam adds weight and a foamy 16mm paddle would get really heavy... but I knew this, I was just trying to give a Nerd Town layup but you blew right through it. I'd still be interested in a how and why discussion of power paddle tech being implemented.
