So underrated! Sana mas marami pang *Pilipino* ang mapanood nito. It makes me confused why we want to differ ourselves when we go by one nationality, Filipino; with diversed and colorful cultures and traditions, beautiful faces and skin color. Love one another and our origins. Mabuhay Pilipinas!

Just research about Southeast Asian architecture and trditional house and palace, in Philippine only in South because of Malay influences(Sumatra, Johor and Brunei), Javanese, Malay, Minangkabau, Bugis of Sulawesi, Dayak of Borneo, Batak of North Sumatra, Balinese etc. Mainland Thai, Laotian, Mon, Burmese, Khmer(Cambodian), Cham of Vietnam(Champa). Vietnamese not included because of Sinosphere culture, Javaese Rumah Joglo and Pendopo Jawa, Malay 'Balai Adat Melayu and Rumah Melayu, Minangkabau of West Sumatra "Rumah Gadang", Bugis "Balla Lompa", Dayak "Rumah Lamin", Banjar of South Kalimantan 'Bubungan Tinggi", Batak with "Rumah Bolon" and many others each ethnic have own unique architecture, temple style sumatra, peninsular, coastal borneo, bali, lombok and java have similarity in temple style, for exmple 'Candi bahal of North Sumatra Province look similar to 'Candi Jabung of East Java' far away, just like Keris culture, similar dagger culture. South Thailand Peninsular in Surat Thani, old temple and stupa from Srivijaya era similar style built by Sailendra dynasty in Java and Sumatra, Candi Sewu, Candi Kalasan, Candi Kleten with stupa top of candi. unlike Majapahit, Kediri and Singasari style like squre in shape like "candi kidal, candi tikus candi singasari etc", Surat Thani city pillar shrine base on Srivijayan-Saildenra style, in Indonesia 'Gapura Taman Blambangan" base on Majapahit-Kediri style. Bangkok City Pilar Shrine base on Thai style, in Surin and Buriram Province near Cambodia, Khmer ethnic majority province base on Angkor Khmer architecture like 'Buriram city pillar shrine. That why Southeast Asia are unique. there are many ruins and site thousand of them(except in Philippine and Timor leste)

Question: 1. If our ancestors figured making a pillow for the comfort of the head when sleeping, why didn’t they create a padded mat for the comfort of the rest of your body? 2. Did they also build stilt houses as protection against flooding and wild animals? 3. So weaving designs were based on Islamic traditions because they did not create human nor animal images? Is it possible that they stuck with depicting flowers because it was the easiest and most lively and pleasing to the eyes? 4. This video showed human and animal depictions or designs on some of the artifacts. Not everything has to have an explanation or connection to some other belief, tradition, teaching whatever. Just show what the indigenous people made without definitive lectures discrediting the talents or mindsets of our ancestors.

The video was only referring to the Tausug who were Muslims. It does not claim to apply to all ethnic groups in the country which may have different cultural beliefs and practices
@jackstone2482

Maybe because the materials needed to make it were hard to come by. So your idea that our ancestor should make some padded mat will be laughed upon , because only an idiot considered wasting scarce resources to make a mat rather than using it to create something practical & relevant in their everyday lives... They are bright people for not making that stupid mat...until today I still believe that all people who suggested that they should make mat ... Are the most stupid person in the world that it's a miracle that they are still alive despite the absence of a brain😮!

Our ancestors preferred to sleep on woven rattan or bamboo simply because it's more comfortable in our hot climate. Imagine all the sweat and damp that would accumulate on your so-called padded mat lol. FYI many old folks still choose to sleep on banig over foam beds.
@ServandoIV
@ServandoIV 12 күн бұрын
@@Leo-gy7we i guess your theory won’t apply to the pillows and the aristocrats who had a more comfortable mat? why not make a single layer mat as well as padded mats and put the single layer mat over?

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT BEING A HINDU? By Francois Gautier. Diversity in Divinity , Universal in Spirituality. Unity in Humanity 1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted 2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik 3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak. 4) You dont want to worship idols - no problem. You can focus on Nirguna Brahman. 5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc. are core Hindu schools. 6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it. 7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure ! 8) You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead. 9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest. 10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti tradition . ( bhakti- devotion) 11) You don't like idea of Bhakti ! No problem. Do your Karma. Be a karmayogi. 12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy. 13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - jai ho ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic ! 14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship). 15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy 16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan. 17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study ! 18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped. 19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism! "Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is a family) 20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival. Don't worry. One more festival is coming! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year. 21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu. 22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved. 23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu! 24) You know that Hinduism ☺ is a way of life, with considerable freedom. 25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe! 26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint. 27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily) You represent this! You're free to choose, my dear Hindu! This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!! There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell -" Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah"- Let the knowledge come to us from every direction
