How Difficult Is It to Convert Duffy to Lithium Battery?

Video will cover a 48V Duffy 18 being converted to run on one 48V 90Ah Lithium Battery By UNO, MFG in USA, The UNO Battery is waterproof with a rating of IPX6. The original eight 6V deep cycle golf cart batteries (GC2) are removed and the UNO battery located behind the rear bench because it is much smaller and can be closer to the electric motor controller. This location reduces long original cable lengths and results is less voltage drop from battery to controller. The UNO battery kit comes with battery, charger, connectors and an app to monitor the state of charge.

The answer to the questions is that it is NOT difficult to convert from lead acid to lithium at all! The key is to call Jeff and his team from Deep Cycle and the switch is a piece of cake! In all seriousness, my experience with Deep Cycle has been excellent and the upgrade was smooth. Deep Cycle was responsive to questions, knowledgeable straight shooters, who work hard and smart. Now that I am a couple of months in from losing 500 lbs of high maintenance . lead acid batteries and moving to zero maintenance lithium the verdict from my family is that this has been a great decision and one I expect most of us will increasingly make as our old tech batteries reach the end of their relatively short lives. As close to having a boat as I will ever get. 😂 What an improvement. Good example of the "energy density" of the smaller lithium ion battery to the original lead acid batteries. (Great compartment for 'other' heavy stuff under the floor ...😊)

Great info. I want to run a stand alone battery for my boat stereo system. 2 amplifiers with total draw of 80amps if playing full volume. Which I don’t do. I’m looking for the longest play time. Is a lithium battery going to have a longer play time or an equivalent full throttle agm? You guys are awesome. I buy from only DCB.
