This goes to show that there are no set "rules". General guidelines, AT BEST, if that; but it's really just about achieving the result you want to get in however which way you want to go about it. It feels like Dillon and Skrillex took this idea from Boaz Van De Beatz and Mr. Polska. There's proof right on KZbin. Just type in "40 min boaz polska redbull," and at the 22nd minute, the original version of "Burn up the Dance" starts. You can clearly hear everything, from the vocal arrangement and chords to the notes of the drop. It's a shame people will think Skrillex and Dillon are the geniuses here.
