What a fun and interesting idea. I hope these old news videos do well because I’m enjoying them. The kind of deep dive that I would never be able to myself. Brickey is a historian of the finest caliber.

This is really fantastic Old Disney news on Disneyland. I do learn things about Disney and Disneyland that I haven't heard before. I was born and raised in Anaheim...Born at Garden Park Memorial Hospital on Ball Rd and my child hood home is in the Anaheim Hills area. So watching your channel brings back memories of going to Disneyland. I now live in Iowa. I do miss California sometimes. Keep up the tremendous work! ❤

The Santa Ana Freeway, which was originally signed as US 101, was completed in 1956. In 1964, the US 101 signs were changed to Interstate 5. The freeway was built in segments between 1956 and 1978. The entire freeway was completed in 1971.

10:15 Definitely a picture of the Jungle Cruise. You can tell by the picture the woman in the lower right is holding up. Zoomed in, you can see it’s a picture of a Jungle Cruise boat. The striped awning is a dead giveaway. As a former CM and Jungle Cruise skipper, this is very cool to see!

Brickey, Just after Walt had purchased the land that would become Disneyland. Around March/April 1954, Walt and his little team had to go to the Anaheim City Council to get all the i's dotted and T's crossed. For the 2 hour meeting Walt never sat down he presented his idea's to the council. He answered every question put to him without hesitation. One councillor said, "I've never seen anything like it. He knew more about roads, water sewage, electricity lines than I will ever know." Harper Goff, for Adventureland did all the measurements just by using a long bamboo pole. The entrance to the land is very tight, it's to be more like the start of the movie "Casablanca." Adventureland is mainly a combination of 2 movies, Casablanca and African Queen. Cheers, Chris Perry.

My dad ran grocery stores in SoCal and food industry was well represented in the park Pepsi and Coke split the park..Coke had Main St and Tomorrow land..Pepsi Frontier land and Fantasy land..not sure about Adventure land. Fritos, Carnation. Folgers coffee..Swift Premium meat..we went to Holiday land..then into the park and the rides required tickets..the gate fee was separate..the park made money off rides.. btw we never paid for tickets or food as a kid..it was awesome

Is club 1313 dead? I paid $13.13 a month for almost 2 years, proud member. Or did it morph into the member - mark hooper? Sorry, I should probably know this by now, hard to keep up with my busy home and work life. Love the new content
