Stock up on gifts at an outlet mall or online discounted and put it in your luggage. Pull one or two out every day. BYO glow sticks. Bring that refillable water bottle. You can hide sandwiches in a box of tampons. Works well. They don’t check.

Admittedly, I am a sucker for the refillable mugs. Yes, they are extremely overpriced, but when spending a few sweltering days at the pool, they become invaluable. Especially at resorts like Saratoga Springs, where a refill station is 30 feet from the pool. So convenient!
@michaeljensen1817 Жыл бұрын
The refillable mug, while you can use it at your house, can also be used at your local convenience store. If they offer a refill price, you can save money for years. I have my mug from 2014 and still get cheaper coffee prices now. So for me that's totally worth it even if you don't think it is while on the actual trip.

When our kids were little and we came home to our WDW DVC resort, I would ship a box filled with the kids stuff to our vacation resort two days before our arrival so the kids had things there so we would not have to buy anything for them while there. It saved us a small fortune over the years as Disney Vacation Club members. Items sent down were changed over the years to save money not having to go off property to get them. And sending items purchased while on vacation to our home after buying them on property saved on hauling them home in our baggage. Win, win both ways.

On the bounce back offer, when we have been there, that extension as well as the 800 # is actually disconnected. When i have called the other reservation line, cast members have said bounceback has not been a thing since they closed in 2020.

For what it's worth, Photopass photographers are really good at taking creative pictures. And if you pack a travel size hair brush and a little towel to wipe your sweat, the pictures will look just fine. 😊

Traveling with a toddler? We went to Disney last month and some of these things saved us! Get memory maker, the best pics were taken and these were the only family pictures that we got on the trip. The popcorn bucket, was pricey but it kept our tot happy for hours. We did not end up with the refill but the hours of joy while she had her popcorn were priceless. Also purchase your bubble maker before going BUT remember to buy backup bubbles. Our daughter ran through them ten times over. The park sells them for $2 each and they are tiny.

@colinrichardson3887 Жыл бұрын
UK based guests get PhotoPass included in the price of our park tickets already. We had way more than nine photos each. Found we took around four or five group shots and also several in rides. I had around three or four character meets just on my own, my grandkids had a few too. Whenever we passed a photopass photographer with a small or non existent queue we stopped for a fast photo session. The trick shots made us smile, totally random surprises. You know something will be added but often have no clue what until your photos appear on your phone. A lot of money, yes. it’s worth it if you use it though. Our best experience was my grandchildren met Minnie Mouse in Epcot and they had posed snaps, hugging Minnie snaps and then a snap of Minnie walking off with my grandson as she went for a break. Can’t put a price on my daughters face when that happened ; it was pure Disney magic.

AJ, you do a terrific job with these videos. The writing is excellent, your delivery is flawless and the points you make are without exception very useful. The only time I have been to WDW was in 1982 when we spent New Year’s Eve at EPCOT. I want to go back, but I may have to get a graduate degree to figure it out - although your videos and guides are a godsend. Thanks from another Texan!

My kids LOVE their glow wand! Toddlers LOVE bubbles. I say Wand rather than wands bc one broke in my suitcase coming home. It must have turned on in transit and the bubble liquid warped the inside. However, they use it all the time and I plan on buying 2 more when we go next time. Just make sure to remove the batteries before you pack them in the suitcase.

None of my bubble wands have survived the trip home. I don't know why. I always carefully pack them. So I just don't purchase them anymore.

We took our son when he was 10 months old and got his first haircut at the Harmony Barbershop at Magic Kingdom. When we came out, the parade was going right past the door and the look of awe on his face was wonderful! It’s a great memory! Make sure you have a stroller cover, white noise machine, and little stroller clip-on fan. With the help of all of that, he took naps easily. Take advantage of the baby care centers. They’re quiet, air conditioned places to go to feed and change the baby. There are rocking chairs there too if that’s what baby needs to fall asleep. You can take the baby on slow rides like It’s a Small World and Animal Kingdom Safari, either sitting in your lap or baby-wearing. Don’t stress too much! Prepare well beforehand and all will be great.
@hookerjenn8651 Жыл бұрын
Took our oldest the first time at eight months old. Be prepared to hold that baby a lot and for them to get Hot. Fans and shade and stroller covers are awesome. If baby is a Velcro kiddo, make sure your baby wearing apparatus is comfortable for You in all elements. We drove so I had the ability to bring a case of diapers and a tote of food and formula when I couldn’t nurse. From one worrier to another, it’s going to be fine. You’re going to have fun, and it’s going to be an amazing memory.

I suspect you would already know this if you have seen even a couple of your videos. I can't help but think you might have a better time at Disney if you just set $1000 on fire and decide not to go. It will cost you less too. Imagine if you could just go to Disney with almost no preparation and just go do whatever you see that looked interesting. That's what you used to be able to do at disney, I used to live in Orlando so I know. And that was as little as 20 years ago. You paid "reasonable" prices, could see what you wanted to see, not be too shafted eating in the park, and just have fun. Now they hold you by your shoes and try to shake every last quarter out of your pocket.
@cheezeburger43 Жыл бұрын
Are you taking applications so I can get paid to spend money at Disney?

Great ideas video.... refillable ideas may be worth it IF you want to carry it around with you. So glad I don't drink so Yea one Savings for me. Surge pricing is something not planned for completely cause it seems it goes up and down so quick you can't plan for all of the cost. Then park hopping, not for me cause it says only after 2pm which is Not worth it to me. Instacart is NOT worth it cause the increase item pricing is at least 20% plus service fee, plus delivery charge plus tip expected....just pay Disney price. Suggestion...do your ride days and pick money day as shopping day only. Thanks for videos. I love them all. Just wish I could afford to go.
