From my experience, Czechs do not talk to strangers that much as they are not used to be so open to strangers. It is getting better though. I am Czech and my husband the US citizen. We live in a small town in Moravia. He is very outgoing and talkative and likes to chitchat with strangers. I am always too shy to join him, I guess it is my Czech nature. Surprisingly, people always open up and join the conversation, smiling and very polite. The Czechs are not rude, I think they are just generally too shy to interact with strangers. On the other hand, once they get to know you, they are awesome.

Thank you. The language can be hard to learn especially for any foreigner it takes time and practice. I also give myself credit to for knowing the language because I don't live in Czech and I have only been learning the language part time since 2016.. My speaking is not yet perfected now but my partner is from Czech so she will tells me if I make any grammar mistake and she would correct me. The most important thing is as long as they understand what's being said they will appreciate. Thank you for watching and good luck with learning.

Whenever they think you're slovák, take that as a compliment, it basically means you are a czechian with an accent!! I'm always impressed by people who learn to speak czech because sometimes it is hard even for us who grew up here. But it is a very beautiful and colorful language, surely something worth knowing. Keep learning, the more you'll hear and use it, the better you get!! I recommend watching czech movies/fairytales to catch some phrases and new words, or maybe listening to czech podcasts and youtube videos would also be helpful!! Vedeš si skvěle! 😁

If I saw a stranger with a bottle of beer in his hand, I would be afraid at first that he was a drunk. Locals drink in a pub or at home, or on a construction site. If someone carries his beer with them, he already looks like an alcoholic. But in a quiet and relaxed village it will stand.

Super video! Máš dobrou výslovnost a mluvíš líp než pár Čechů 😁🖐️. Zasmál jsem se u věty,, starý vesnický autobus ". Tohle jezdí bohužel skoro všude 😂. Pokračuj, jen tak dál. Snad se někdy potkáme na Moravě ve vinném sklípku 😉 Great video! You have good speech and speak better than a few Czechs. I laughed at the phrase "old village bus". Unfortunately, this goes almost everywhere. Continue. Keep going, just keep going. Maybe we'll meet in Moravia in a wine cellar 😉

I'm so glad that you had such great encounters with the locals! I really do hope that you did not find offense in the lady acting surprised about your skin color. It's just very unexpected for people from the country to see someone of a different race - I would even say that we're more used to the Vietnamese folk because they love setting up shops in Czech villages and towns. Also, you did a very good job in striking up conversations with the locals. Townsfolk usually have a hard time making small talk with strangers, me included. On the other hand, they love travellers and foreign people who just want to see and get to know the country. It genuinely makes them curious and interested. I hope that you liked it here! Also, props to you for drinking Radegast - that beer is, personally, one of the most bitter beers that I know. I love the good old Kozel 11° (jedenáctka). Happy travels in the future from a Czech
