There are many veterans that are dealing with mental health issues, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I once battled PTSD in my own life, but the peace of God has transformed my life and perspective of life in a tremendous way. In this video I discuss how I dealt with PTSD, I'm not saying other methods don't work, but I am saying that God is able and willing to help you with the battles you are facing. Give Him, Jesus Christ, a try!

Thank you for serving our country and the Lord. You answered the question in the title with some great preaching! It sounds like God did for you what you couldn't do on your own. It's amazing how when He says to a troubled mind, "peace be still" unexplainable calm reigns in the mind. It's been my experience that the peace isn't always an instant miracle though, but can be a process of learning how to get and maintain that peace of mind (being equipped with the right tools); maybe that's where sharing a problem with a friend can cut the burden in half, relieving some emotional pain. Maybe the peace comes when a total stranger simple says, "have a great day" and instantly the troubled person feels a sense of comfort or calm come over them that God provided through that stranger's words. Maybe it's a scripture that comes to mind during a trouble time like "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.". Maybe it's just spending time with a friend fishing that eases the troubled mind. God knows exactly what we need and can provide it exactly when we need it. The great part of it all is that God loves us no matter how messed up we are or things are in our lives; He is always ready to help... if we just take a moment to say a simple prayer, "God you've got to help me".
