It dried my mouth out instantly like a crazy chemical. I looked it up and they say it’s the tannins but it was pretty ripe .

@coldseamonster yup, the chem is tannins. and yup, really weird if it felt ripe. that type you tried will have to be "water balloon" soft. you'll eat it the "in-the-garden" style :)

@@Don-Coyote-De-Transylvania nice!! fruit from Nikita is like CANDY. Perfect sized tree, nice sized fruit. Rossy will get tall (my experience); Rossy is a highly valued tree but the damn fruit is smaller than I prefer. Stay patient -- u'll have more fruit than u'll know what to do with in a few yrs!

What i want to know is what it tastes like. Everyone has had it, but no one seems to know. Looks like a tomato on a tree, so i would expect tomato taste.

i can't think if a similar flavor :/. some fruit are as sweet as candy, but firm or mushy candy, depending on ripeness :). i have a sweet tooth and would have a 'sugar rush' after eating ~4 Nakita's Gift fruit. i didn't help but tried :). i hope you get to enjoy a fruit from a tree.... thanks for stopping by!
