I thought you had some really solid advice here. I feel like a lot of KZbinr's take this question and make sort of a joke of it, but the thing is there are a lot of young girls (and even older girls) that really are looking for an actual answer to this question of getting a boy to like them. It is used often in movies to transition from one scene to the next without having such a sharp cut in audio and visuals. So what they might do is allow the viewers to hear a bit of the next scene before they can see it. (Sorry that was a lot, but I figured I'd tell you a lot in case you were curious.) You're amazing!

Great video. So important to remember that the other person is a normal human too, but so often neglected as advice, I've often found that when I've fancied someone I'm too scared to talk to, when I do get around to talking to them I stop fancying them pretty quickly. My affections are much less fickle when my feelings developed along with the friendship instead of before the friendship. :)

I'm the exact same situation right now- there is this guy I really like and we hung out last week and now I feel completely confused and never know if I make the right impression etc. however I do realise that "making the right impression" is an incorrect concept considering that one of the rules is being true to yourself and not pretending to be different. I remember watching this when it was posted, a couple months before I turned 13. It was just 3 months after I told a guy I liked “I don’t like you anymore” despite the fact that I totally definitely still did. I didn’t really take or listen to the advice but I remember being like “damn, I messed that up” (especially since he was dating someone else by this point). I spent 4 years regretting it, but now we’re finally together again I couldn’t ask for someone better

I was in your EXACT shoes when I was 17. It felt like my friends were growing up without me & I felt so...inexperienced. It is a major confidence kill & sometimes felt like I’d never get to experience the things my friends were on about. But just before I turned 21 I finally got my first boyfriend (& first kiss from him). People experience things at different times & there's nothing wrong with that. Concentrate on YOUR life for now. You'll find someone to share it with when the time is right :)

I've felt my self confidence going down but the way I make myself feel good is I am honest with my friends and I find little things about me that I love and I take pride in them. The fact that before we got together my boyfriend saw me in the mornings, ill, climbing trees, playing with my dog and basically just being completely myself while we were on scout activities. If I can get him to pay attention to me doing stuff like that then it must be proof that being yourself really does work.

If this isn't something intentional (because I know of other KZbinrs who edit this way too) and you are using Final Cut, you can remedy this by making sure the audio and visual tracks are always linked and that you don't lock one of them out. This way, you can cut the two tracks in the same place. Anyways, I do really enjoy your videos. You have such a fun, vibrant personality. It's really refreshing. :)

I think she means it created awkward people in so far as people are choosing to try to be awkward or revelling in their awkwardness and generally refusing to leave their comfort zone. She's not denying some people are just awkward people. That said, when possible it is good to try go out of your comfort zone and I say that as someone who's struggled with their own awkwardness most of their life.
