No judgement at all! 🥰 I think everyone has a room like that! If not a few. 😊 You should’ve seen ALL the books I’ve had to go thru and get rid of (before we moved). I sold heaps to bookstores and online and given many away. Libraries are great to give books to. I really had to ask myself if I was going to reread a book that I’d had on the shelf and hadn’t touched it in 10-20 years….. 🤔

Hey just subscribed Lisa ! hello fellow KZbinr! “ go within and seek your own knowledge” just love that! And think it’s a great quote , gonna use that if you don’t mind! 😂😂 But so true! Yep think it might be time to ‘let go’ of a few books …… but then they are such wonderful things to have……and your children may want to hold on to them, for when they grow up. Maybe make it a fun thing and let them help you choose…… It’s so difficult isn’t it……but yeah by bit. ☺️ and yes the energy of space does diminish with stuff we store. I had a good clear out a few months back and shed a little tear when I sold one item, which had great sentimental value…… I mentioned it in one of my Vlogs….I had hung on to it for nearly 25 years. But the ‘release’ was very cathartic. I will watch your other Vlogs over the next few weeks! Thanks for your subscription to my channel! 🌸 Happy Sorting! 🌸

I didn’t get to leave a comment yesterday, but it was a really lovely video 🫶🏻 Here to watch this now (promise I’m not judging you) and it looks like you are sharing a significant part of your history, which is special 😊 You are clearly an avid reader. Deciding which books no longer serve ones needs, is always difficult. Another delightful peek into who you are, Lisa. Thank you for trusting us. We gifted our children’s books and toys to children we felt would benefit from them. It was a good feeling knowing that.

my kids are 20 & 24 now and it was hard getting rid of their childhood toys and books. However, I've kept my son's playmobile and legos for future grandkids as they will last forever and because it cost us a fortune lol but for books and misc I have a memory box for both of them and kept the special stuff in there. Also moving from Scotland to Canada helped the process lol

thats nothing. my garage and spare rooms look like Chernobyl after it got broken into by a gang........ my tip to cleaning up is...... don't throw away anything you'd feel you missed in say 10-20 years time. but...... if you have 100 magazines. keep say a couple of great copies - chuck the rest on flea bay. that way you still have some of the memories.

I have the EXACT same issue with books - my children's books, books for work, books for pleasure, reference books... and on and on it goes! 🫣
