I know this song is written as a POV To Dean Lewis' Father, but my mom has cancer and I'm absolutely playing this at her funeral because. Just because. I was adopted as a kid, by my grandparents so they legally became my parents (Bio mom wasn't mentally fit to take care of me properly) So ever since I was 2 my mom has been there for me- I was Daddy's girl growing up, but when my dad passed when I was 15 my mom stepped up and I'm absolutely tearing up just THINKING about her inevitable funeral. She even saved my life twice before I even came into this earth- Egg donor was gonna have an abortion, and when I was being born my mom (the one who raised me) reached INSIDE egg donor and realized that I was coming the wrong way and turned me around. so she's everything to me and deserves a song that shows that.
