Another great video Chris, but may I suggest it would be really useful if Motolegends could include washing/cleaning instructions on all product descriptions on your website. I really struggled to find out the best approach to wash my rokker revolution jeans considering they are waterproof and wondered if they need treating again afterwards.

Now this I like, no nonsense, although the washing machine act was hilarious😅, no bs vid, with important do's and don'ts! I think I ruined a jacked once because there is not that great info available on the web. Now I confident enough to put my Richa Armada in the machine. Thanks!!

Brilliant video as usual, thank you. I’ve been washing my gear at the end of each season in NikWax for more than 10 years and I learnt plenty from this film. I’ll be ordering Storm from now on. Lol - you are SO in trouble from the Mrs for that old Navy joke and rightly so! 😂 When the lockdown ends I’ll be round and I strongly suspect your maracas will be on display above the door!!! 🤣

Great video. Very informative. My Dainese Carve Master2 jacket wash label says hand wash only, no iron and no tumble dryer. Is it still safe to wash as you describe and do I still do the re-proofer?

Every time I see the last few seconds of the black and white intro with motorcycles riding I cringe at the last overtake shown as it is so plainly dangerous and unnecessarily risky... I hope noone is "learning" from it... On the topic of the video however, I am just over the moon that I found a channel and a shop that bases its reviews and recommendations on the actual science and not just profit from whatever brand/type of garment they sell has the most mark up at the moment. Also, the willingness to teach masses and pass this knowledge as is visible in the videos you produce is also fantastic and will no doubt benefit many "generations" of bikers to come. Thanks Chris!

Hi guys,I bought this product with you before I saw this video.I made the mistake of putting the 2 products(75 ml each)together in wash draw and not separate as you say to do.Will this harm the procedure?Is it possible that Gore-tex says that the garment has to be dry before putting it back in the dryer?

Just got my Rukka Storm delivered and popped my Stadler in the wash...very tentatively I might add. Thank you again for an awesome video and for having all the right gear, in all the right sizes when it's needed. Really appreciate the work you guys put into your customer service and these videos.

Chris, no mention on how to way Rokker Chino''s/jeans. They are tech wear. do you use storm products for that too?
@roythearcher Жыл бұрын
you have to check your garments care lable before you start this process as not all will be tumbler dryer friendly. In this case you can use a hair dryer to activate the DWR without killing the jacket/trousers. And there's no advantage in turning your clothing inside-out before cleaning.
@jeanjacques99803 жыл бұрын
Might be of interest to demonstrate how to care for leather suits and how to keep the leather subtle and with an almost new feel and condition. My leather Belstaff jacket no longer smells like when I purchased it and the BKS jacket is ageing significantly as I have. Please consider we all don’t have the luxury of a work bench in a garage at home. I know I could send the jacket and suit away to a specialist cleaner, rather pricey?

Great informative and honest review, can I take it the 3 cap fulls will do a hole wash or is it only wash one garment at a time? Can the base layers you mentioned be washed and dried in the same manner all in the same wash? I prefer your video and online written review format
@Motolegends4 жыл бұрын
The amount of gear that you can wash really depends on the size of your drum. But in my washing machine I have no problem getting a jacket and trousers in. So I will get three separate washed out of a pack of Storm. Base layers, particularly merino, are a different kettle of fish. I should perhaps have gone over this in the base layers video, but check on the internet about how you wash merino wool. The main thing is never to use a fabric conditioner. ML

Is there a special procedure for cleaning clothes with Alpinestars DryFit? What preparations can be used for them?
@Motolegends2 жыл бұрын
We don't sell Alpinestars but my understanding is that this is just a membrane so any non-detergent cleaner will work. Either Storm or Nikwax as discussed in this video.

I really love your videos. They offer some of the most useful information I can find. But, keep it concise. Working cyclically around the same point for 10 minutes hurts. Tell them what you're going to tell them, tell them, tell them what you told them. Be exact and move on.

I know this video is a little older, but I just came across it. On all of my gear it says on the label to handwash it and to not put in the dryer. Will I ruin it if I follow these steps? I would sure love to keep getting the most out of my gear.

Hi Ben. You must use correct liquid. We recommend Storm. If you use traditional washing powders you will ruin the waterproofing. I would say a 30 degree wash. Do not put in a dryer. Also, as Chris mentions in video - run the machine first with rags in to clear it of detergent.

We made a small error that in most situations would barely be worthy of note. Mr. Frost ordered a base-layer on May 11th. The system thought we had it in stock, but it wasn’t in the bin when we went to pick it. As the system thought his top was going to leave the building that night, his card was charged. This was a system/ procedural error. We communicated with Mr. Frost on the 15th about the timing of the resupply of his top. On Sunday 17th May the customer decided to cancel his order. On the Monday (18th) and Tuesday (19th) there was a conversation about the charge, which Steve in Customer Service wrongly presumed was merely a pre-authorisation on the customer’s card. On the Wednesday (20th), Mr Frost told us that he had been indeed been charged the £64 for the top. We acknowledged this the following day, refunded him, and immediately communicated that we had done so. It was not a big deal; a clerical error quickly put right. It was the day after we had refunded Mr. Frost that he left this response on KZbin. It constitutes a blatant lie as, by then, he had been refunded, and had been told so. Why he felt that he had been subjected to ‘continual grief’, we cannot say. He stated in his review that he was having to now go to his credit card to get a refund; again a lie as Mr. Frost knew he had been refunded the day before. Did we make a mistake? Yes we did, but we object to the unnecessary hyperbole and the untruths perpetrated by Mr. Frost for dramatic effect, in an attempt to besmirch our name. This would seem to be an anger management issue more than anything. It speaks more of Mr. Frost’s temperament, we would suggest, than of our conduct.

The staff at Motorlegends checked with their supplier for me and when quickly concluding that the item was unobtainable apologised for the inconvenience and issued a refund. My other items arrived in good time and high quality. Thank you for a professional and trustworthy service. One cannot ask for more!
