Netcode, or not, that right-hander requires a lift in most cars, just to stop from going off-track on the left side. Elias knows that and he also knows the only way he was going to make that pass work is if you gave it to him. You can't assume someone is just going to give up and let you take the position. Net code aside, the contact physics are in great need of attention. Cars don't just lose traction like that with what was a slight touch. The car reacted as if it had been smacked at an acute angle not a parallel touch.

iRacings physics are in a bad way all round, in my opinion. The only thing keeping it as popular as it is is it's multiplayer platform and the ease with which to find busy series any time of day. The driving experience on almost all other platforms is better. Again, imo.

It would make it more realistic, teams get one car for a season, you don’t see them switching between makes based on what car suits the course. Iracing won’t do that, it suits them for you to buy as many cars as you want. They are not concerned about BOP or realism anymore. If they were they’d add less new content in an effort to fix the collision physics or create a incident responsibly/virtual stewards system to penalize incidents like the irl instead of the “no fault everyone gets an sr hit” system of today.

I tried this three times and my SR dropped from 3.6 to 2.4 and I lost 600irating. The Daytona 24 attracted allot of unsafe racers it seems. Me driving the Aston isn't helping matters either lol

I have raced 11 races here and 8 of them with Porsche because i like the Porsche and I love Nords. First few races i didn't mind... I am here to have fun and good time. But then I started to have bit of frustration because the only way to keep up was to push as hard as I can (my laps were just like yours the best was 7:04 something) and before the straights to be in 0.4 maximum gap. Without that I had no chance to do anything. And last thing for me was prey if something will happen and I gain free positions. I didn't liked that at all and had to switch and buy BMW. Because at the end of the day no one wants to loose irating just because .... Right ??

In real life, cars have unique characteristics and imbalances, so shouldn't a simulator reflect that? If all the cars in the simulator are identical in performance, are you essentially just choosing a car based on its logo and design, with no real distinction beyond appearance? That would make it more like a first-person shooter game where all weapons perform the same, differing only in their skins. @ - I watch you all the time and it seems you dump the gas completely versus picking a gear in the turn that keeps your revs half way on the last section of a turn so that you can power out sooner. I see other cars even in fixed races pull away as you follow in the exit of the turn. You're a great driver! I think you could up the ante in these races by keeping the revs up as you drop gears entering turns and exiting. Or maybe I'm full of sheit.
