Sebastian serving a slowdown in the middle of the chicane is one of the biggest rat moves in sim racing. I wouldn't have blamed anyone for ramming him out of the way 😂
@F80mthree9 сағат бұрын
As petty as it is I’d actually do the same if I really needed that position. If I was already like 10th or worse id let the guy behind go on ahead though.

Genius move that one. He didn't do anything outside the law, and used the track wisely
@Dalaxilama5 сағат бұрын
@fermillo65 you're not supposed to be impeding on somebody else's lap when serving a slow down. You get out of the way, u don't slam the brakes in front of someone.
@BCSimracing8 сағат бұрын
great race Dave! was a shame to see you cop 8x in the first trip around from two whacks from the rear. iRacing's incident counter is a harsh and unforgiving mistress. A clean race and you picked up some freebies for the mistakes of others, that's how it's done in a high SoF field like that. Cheers fella!!

Great video as always Dave👍 Now a question for you, is the screen view in your replays with regard to your overlays the same as what you see yourself in a race? If not, can you show us s what overlays you use when you race?
@davecamyt10 сағат бұрын
Yes, when I'm recording you see what I see. Apart from my iRacing black box which is positioned behind my webcam 👍
@felixarbable11 сағат бұрын
is there a reason you stick it into first quickly and then straight to second in that hairpin?
@davecamyt10 сағат бұрын
A tiny bit of engine braking to prevent lock up going over the kerb and a little extra rotation. I shift to 2nd to prevent wheelspin 👍

Great video, Dave! Personally i love this car/track combo. Could u please tell me your dobbleclutch setting? I cant figure it out, cause when i practice it, it works only the first time. Second and third time it only slips... does it overheat after one try, u think? Anyway, my setting is 45, works somewhat ok. ill be waiting for your next video, merry xmast, peace ☃️
@davecamyt7 сағат бұрын
I think I'm around 45 also although it changes every session. It's a one shot deal so pretty much burnt out after one launch 😁
@cmarti533010 сағат бұрын
Dave, just asking for my own knowledge but why don't you downshift to 2nd out of the two mulsanne chicanes?
@davecamyt10 сағат бұрын
It prevents over rotation on entry and makes the exit a little smoother with less spin 👍

@@davecamyt thanks for the response Dave, did you get any coaching? or just learned through playing the game? I am trying to get better and not having any luck.
@F80mthree9 сағат бұрын
@@ToulKorkManI personally got through 2k about 7 months after joining. My advice is obviously practice, know the pros and cons of each car you plan on using and what tracks they’re best at. Have the correct gear (I’m running VRS 20nm base and pedals with a proper rig) + if you want to actually be competitive outside of fixed series I highly recommend you find an iracing tuner site to use. Coaching and data to compare to yours will also help but I personally think proper tunes & the knowledge of KZbin can get you over 2k within a few months time of dedication. I believe in ya. Once you get past that hump sky’s the limit.
@davecamyt9 сағат бұрын
It was actually buying some Heusinkveld pedals which was the turning point for me. Went from 1.5 ish to over 4k gradually over the next 12 months or so. Never had any coaching at all. 👍

Hi, Dave could you please answer my question next time you are doing a race? I used to be a sim racer about 9 years ago when wheel bases were over two thousand. I had a Fanatec Clubsport base back then with a cheap Omega rig. Things have changed now, watching your vlog wanted me to come back. Wife is a problem but then what can you do they are always a problem. Please tell me shell I come back and start racing or just watch you sitting on my sofa. I have 6 thousand in hand and they need to be spent. Please help me while racing on your next vlog thanks. O yes tripple and VR is must.
