Journalists get a lot of information from sources. Sources can be a new study
with enlightening data or someone a reporter talks with often. Other times,
information is shared anonymously with few additional details to work with.
How do journalists verify information before sharing it?
Media Bytes is a new digital series from @ttupublicmedia that aims to
help people navigate the news, which has changed drastically in recent years.
This media literacy show is hosted by Sarah Self-Walbrick, a lifelong news nerd and local journalist. She’ll share tips on how to find quality reporting and give you a peek behind the curtain at the journalistic process.

apparently my comments are shadow banned again, and could be a tiny bit understandable, but it's still somewhat frustratingly annoying.. but what I wanted to say, if I'm allowed to post this that is.. is that, it would be good, if journalists actually did these things.. but also gave the whole story, all sides included, and not just picking parts, to serve their whatever agenda at the time.. it's a bit comical, when they talk and criticise, but are doing it themselves, because the propaganda, censorship, dis and misinformation etc, is a problem from established news outlets.. and if they aren't telling the truth, and what they actually know, it makes them in different ways complicit, example for the atrocities, and especially, when they try to reshape and portray in different ways, to serve their purpose, agenda etc.. in general, it's often filled with their opinions, and it shouldn't contain any of that.. especially when those things are (atleast it can, and probably made intentionally to) influence others.. but why, the oversaturated (and somewhat overbearing) blame games, lies, denial, inflation and hypocrisy!? it also makes it worse, when it's one-sided, censored and biased.. but with that, and whatever the different opinionated angles, they use, and that could be, and my assumptions are, that they in fact, want to shape, preferably decide what people should believe.. it's worse than that, but it makes it, to the very propaganda they criticise.. sure, it's still laughable/comical, but now it has the bonus of annoyance.. so why would we need, or even have them, if they aren't doing what they are supposed to?
