In Poland, we start Christmas on Christmas Eve with a gala dinner. We have three days of holidays on 24th, 25th also 26th is a holiday day. Families visit and celebrate together. Also 24th is my Birthday ☺ So Merry Christmas!

I want to come sometime next year it depends on what goes on with the pandemic and when they allow the borders to reopen to Vietnam… my first trip for next year is going to be go do the great wall of China then from there I probably will head to Ho Chi Minh City … there still a lot to see in Vietnam 😄

Hi and Merry Christmas to you and to your family. We have been enjoying your videos. Hey, we have a question for you. We plan to come back to visit Vietnam in March 2021. But the pandemic doesn’t seem to make it possible. So we’re thinking coming back after Christmas of 2021. We going to come to Saigon, to Da Lat, to Hoi An, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, and back to Saigon before going back to California, US. Do you think doing all this destinations within the last week of December and the first two weeks of January will be enjoyable for us when it comes to weatherwise? I left Vietnam 41 years ago. By the time I put my first step on Canada soil, I was only 13. Never been back since. So I need your recommendations. Thank you in advance.

Hi Lam Dinh! Thank you so much for your comment and it's inspiring to know your stories and your plans! Yes, the best time to visit Vietnam would be in the spring (Feb, March, and April) because the weather is so nice and there are a lot of things to do. Saigon weather in December is super nice, not too cold, less rain. My grandparents actually just visited Saigon and they felt in love with the weather and the city. Da lat will be very nice as well since flowers bloom and strawberry season in January, however, it will be a little bit cold so prepare a warm jacket. If you stay until the end of Jan in Hoi An, you can see people prepare for Vietnamese Lunar new year with Banh Chung, lanterns, cherry blossoms, etc. The weather should be from 18 degree to 23 degree in Jan. Da Nang in Dec and Jan can be cold with drizzle, but it's still peaceful and beautiful. And the best time to visit Phu Quoc is from Oct-March because the weather is perfect, not much rain and the water is so clear! Overall, I think traveling to Vietnam after Christmas can be very nice, just make sure you do more research while doing your itinerary. I'm so excited for you guys! Good luck and have fun!!

The gathering of families Notre Dame church I wish it was like that here This is jumping to another subject I notice that you called Saigon Hồ Chí Minh city when I was there I was told a few times it's not HCMC it's Saigon. I worked for Ford motor in the USA and it was Saigon Ford. I just want to understand the reason?

Before the reunification in 1975, HCMC used to be Sai Gon. People tend to use the latter one because it's shorter and everybody loves it.
