Flys are an excellent pair of gloves. I’ve worn them for a long time and have tried many other brands, but Flys stand out for durability and strong wrist support when worn. Speaking from experience, I have the Velcro version, and they’ve held up incredibly well over time. The secondary market is strong as well,. Them globes sell easy because of their brand recognition

From what I have seen and in the video there is no wrist support or padding in the area, the pair I used in the piece were 6 weeks old and used by a 14 year old 54kg amateur boxer, so not overly battered in the gym and you could see the outer PU was still new. Everyone will have their own view on their gloves and have a favourite and longevity depends on how often you use them, if you use them for a fitness class a couple of times a week, they will last longer than everyday use by a full time boxer

Where do you find that wrist support? Most flappy gloves on the market. Maybe you have a lace up version?
@Proamboxingequipment6 күн бұрын
@@dbgrand all gloves should have wrist support or some sort of padding
@dbgrand6 күн бұрын
@@Proamboxingequipment I agree. Fly took some design inspiration from the Winning velcro and it's worst they could choose.

A few pros from my boxing gym won’t go any where near the 8oz - 10oz fly fight gloves anymore, because they’ve hand broken hands in them
@Proamboxingequipment6 күн бұрын
I wouldn't let my pros use them or their opponent, they look poorly padded and I cant wait to compare them on here, I heard the Venum pro gloves are bad, Lomochenko used them once and broke his hand early in a fight
@danhorton19886 күн бұрын
@ hopefully you get a pair on to compare them, they do 2 types tho the FLY KYO fight glove which I believe is the horse hair version and the FLY Halcyon fight glove which is meant to be some sort of foam lining

Evert time there has been a dispute over the last 3 years about fight gloves they have all been fly gloves.

Those Fly gloves are over $220 dollars in the USA!! For that just get a Pro Am or many other brands.

Sabas supersoft, similar gloves, real leather 130$…
@Proamboxingequipment6 күн бұрын
exactly, I also think they are a better glove than the Fly leather gloves

From the fight gloves I've had in hand Fly are second worst, just behind Everlast MX.

agreed, except Bravose are even worse

I agree with you do not buy PU-leather buy real leather. I listen to fit2box and he said adidas tilt 350 were good gloves and i took his advice and bought. I got them i tried to brake them in the bag 3 days goes by and i notice the gloves teared on the side. The gloves cost almost 210 USD cause taxes and stuff. From now i will only take your advice.
@sothis14487 күн бұрын
Might just be variation in quality between gloves. Refund?
@Skippy1910-u2p7 күн бұрын
@ nope many people have had the same problem. One guys glove teared after one use.
@sothis14487 күн бұрын
@@Skippy1910-u2p But many people probably would not have this issue with these gloves, so are you going to invalidate someone's opinion based upon variability? They can only review the pair of gloves they have in front of them.

fit2box is a fool sold his soul he tricked me into buying these gloves there's a reason very few pro boxers use fly unless their forced to with brand deals

Fly gloves are the biggest rip off. I've used the leather and PU. The padding in the gloves are terrible. After a while of using them, the padding breaks down and it becomes unequal throughout the glove. Don't waste your money on Fly
@coachingconfidant27857 күн бұрын
im selling mine after seeing this review what rubbish wrist support
@sothis14487 күн бұрын
The most biased glove review ever.
@Proamboxingequipment6 күн бұрын
Why biased ? it is my experienced opinion, I have been designing my gloves for 30 years, so have much more experience than those at Fly sports, as well as boxing experience, I never say my gloves are the best, there are better gloves but you will pay much more for them. Realistically I could only compare them to another 12oz PU velcro strap glove, which was the Sting glove, I could compare the Fly leather model to our leather gloves, they are almost £400, ours are on average £75, I also said Rival make comparable synthetic gloves at a little less money, but in my opinion also a better glove than the Fly superloop X
@sothis14486 күн бұрын
@Proamboxingequipment Because it's your brand obviously you're going to be biased towards it, most people would prefer Fly as a brand over Pro-Am, read the reviews.
@Proamboxingequipment6 күн бұрын
@@sothis1448 I disagree, it is MY honest opinion and I listen to boxers in my gym. There is a lot of thought and experience gone into my designs. These other brands are owned by businessmen and sometimes boxing fans, how do they know how the glove should feel, last and perform ?
@peteellis81016 күн бұрын
Good review and views on these as they do get a lot of hype. Out of interest how do you rate Phenom? I have the SG210s and don't think they are good 🫣
@Proamboxingequipment6 күн бұрын
The Phenom are not too bad, I've not had hold of a pair for maybe 2 years but I thought they were OK, A a little expensive but better than a few gloves on the market, I would say nearest to our club lace up gloves
