How do the results of pulmonary function tests influence treatment choices for COPD?

I just took a spirometry test and my pulmonologist said the results were normal- yet after I told them about how I used my rescue inhaler an hour before the test they said I wasn’t supposed to do that before any breathing test, and no I wasn’t told this before the procedure. Does this mean my lung function would’ve been lower than what was shown in the spirometry report?

How often do u see someone having copd (xrays,ct's, annually) over a decade and passing the pft test?

You can also have someone give you these tests that haven't got a clue. Make sure the person giving the test is certified..and the machine is in good working order...NO tape, velcro, or plastic wrap holding it together....if the person doesn't seem to know what they are doing, talking to other people...get up and leave or you will live in a nightmare for a year....Honest, been there.
