A friend of mine has over a million streams on his only song on Spotify, he blew up on TikTok playing an acoustic version of his song before it released and it got noticed by David Dobrik, which built him a lot of hype for the song. After it released I'm pretty sure it got put on a couple spotify curated playlists after it dropped.

@@Joseph.Gallardo when a label pushes an artist that hasn’t blown up yet, they tend to wipe out their Spotify pages so the one song they’re promoting gets maximum exposure, their old songs don’t match their current vibe, etc. You can see that with multiple artists, take the kid laroi for example. I remember when he first did the song “Let it Go” with Cole Bennett. It was the only song on his Spotify, because the label wanted to expose that song as much as possible. The evidence is soundcloud. No one makes money off of soundcloud so labels don’t wipe their pages on that platform, and you see how he has a shit on of music way before releasing “let it go”.
