Wash small bills and print old hundreds onto them. It’s actually pretty simple. Hardest part is finding and old scanner/printer with no WiFi. New printers have anti counterfeit measures installed into them.

I heard they make money buy buying something cheap with $100 and get the change. Because the change is the REAL money. It would take a lot longer to do this process with $20 bills. They usually don't buy expensive stuff with counterfeit money.

A relative once received handmade fakes that looked real enough on the first glance, but checking the details would immediately dispel the illusion and to make things funnier: the backside was so fake like a 30 dollar bill showing the guy with a long nose as a taunt! The thing is that these bills were sandwiched between real ones.

This is such a cool video. When I worked at a big named bank here, the tellers would bring me bills to see if they were fakes. I could tell immediately, without any tools they mention in the video. I could just see the minuscule differences. Kinda proud of mah-self now, after seeing what all they go through, for me to of been able to just nope it tf out. 😂

Counterfeit money is becoming a problem here in socal. My parents were fooled into accepting counterfeit money since they work at the farmers market. They would take 1 dollar bills and convert them to $100 dollar bills so the pens used to detect counterfeit money would detect them as real. We now bought uv lights.

I worked for a bank and back then counterfeits were usually easy to catch. The paper was waxy or greasy, colors were way off, etc. I can't say it was a super bill, but one of the experienced tellers caught one of those high quality bills. The only discernable difference was the green color of the seal on the face of the bill. It was off just enough that through constant staring and studying the color, I could recognize the phony money easily. Scary times.

To note (pun not intended) it is primarily the US Secret Service rather than the FBI who pursue the investigation pertaining counterfeit money. In almost any cases the Secret Service will work closely with the US Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve to track and trace the forgers and forgeries that have taken place.

I work at a bank and it’s actually pretty common for counterfeits to get deposited, if someone’s depositing $3000 cash sometimes they slip an extra 5 or 10 disguised as 2006 series bills or older or just assorted bills can throw off most tellers, I know because it’s happen to me😂
