Just joined tonight. Been mulling over this for almost 10 years now, definately don't want my boy to be going to secondary school. I have a mixture of home ed and school friends so know this would be for us. But I'm a carer so makes it difficult to prioritise everything logistically so that's mostly the reason i haven't taken the plunge. Always good to hear others perspectives. Another excellent podcast episode. We have been homeschooling since April. We have been able to do it so far by cutting down on food bill and petrol as my wages have been cut by 250 per month.

Really great episode! 🎉 Loved the idea about pocket money, earning and saving. Going to start this with Grace in September. I also used to turn my nose up at Butlins and charity shops and now I love them both! 😂

Hi ladies, fellow homeschooler parent of 2 girls also from the Midlands. Came across the podcast today loved it, couldn't agree more homeschooling doesn't and isn't expensive at all. I'm also a subscriber to twinkl and it's great they have worksheets for every subject/topic. (Couldn't agree more about TK Maxx it's my worst nightmare 😬😂)

Monday-Friday I stay home and homeschool. Sat & Sunday I work when the hubby is home to look after the children, and that helps us financially.

If your working class you need to work and cant home educate. Thats a luxury. Your right its more expensive if they are at school but if one parent cant be at home but has to work what happens then? I enjoyed home educating but forced to stop because job centre forced me back into work when my child turned 3! Realistically even though i really want to home educate and despite the job centre being sp horrible, i can help my husband by working a little. I think home educating can only work if your husband is in a good paying job and you can stay at home, or if you have a work from home job or if you have a business which can work around the children. Sad but its reality! Maybe you can help by doing a video on this ❤
