Love you Dan. I'm now working four days a week, pain or not. This time last year I could barely leave my bed.

How about really being overwhelmed. My mom had a stroke and is difficult to deal with. Also helping with babysitting 1 year old granddaughter. Trying to exercise consistently. I usually freak out at 5 pm, when symptoms are the worse. I’m trying, maybe too hard.

What's really hard is to change my belief system, to no longer fall into the traps of my usual thought patterns, namely being broken, .... instead of recovery is natural.....

Struggling today. Got out early drove partner to train station and walked in a very empty park at 7.15am. a new sensation hit n slight panic, back into my car but sat with it for a while. Bit shivery so went home , got in my bed n rested. Hour later back out, but very edgy. Then it hit me, it's my mum's anniversary n the tears fell in my car😢. Feeling so exhausted and having a" why me" moment 🙄. This too shall pass.

I left all religion and spirituality out of TMS recovery. Keep it as simple and down to earth as possible. Perceiving danger on earth not in different realms or dimensions. 🐱😁

Commit to the 'now'. Recognise when you are in a learned pattern of fear and preoccupation and shift in a active( doing mode not thinking iam ok mode) and repeat.( create a new BIG neural pathway of safety) visualize this pathway! The brain and body will feel safe when you do normall things without the fuel: FEAR. Its like a habit. For me this works: O, iam again obsessing on pain or fear. I can not avoid the sensation of fear, but i can choose my reaction to it! This will avoid secundary fear. Action: Doing the opposit and go on with my day or activity. Repeat ,repeat repeat... with determination. Not heavy pressure. The obsession will fade by time. Recognise when you have resistance to be present. That was a big one for me. Thanks al lot for show the way Dan. But i had to drove the ' vehicle' myself.

Vertigo hit a few weeks ago… it has really stirred up all the already there pain. Will be totally honest , having a hard time staying calm. Tuesday I have an appointment with a PT that specialized with helping vertigo. A few steps forward and a few steps backwards. You are so right Dan, when you say this is not easy, but is doable!! It’s been a tearful few weeks, but determined to keep climbing. Thank for being here for us when we are having harder than normal times!! ❤

Glad you’re not changing your business model. You are doing so much good for so many people. Thank you. I have started to go about my day and not focus on dizziness or brain fog or any of my other symptoms. I talk to my brain in kind of a tough love way encouraging it to leave me alone because it is making my life a lot harder. I’m trying to ignore the symptoms and live with what I have until my brain stops perceiving danger. Not suffering not freaking out.

If you've been medically checked and ruled out the life threatening stuff it's probably all PDP/TMS
@PainFreeYou

If you were doing better, then it comes back, that's most likely TMS / Perceived Danger Symptoms. Do the assessments. IsThisPDP.com - that will tell you what's going on. My fast start playlist is the next best thing to the group coaching. DansFastStart.com - lots of people are getting well just from learning and implementing from those videos.

I get unbelievably painful left sided pain that drops me to the floor at times. It feels like I'm having a heart attack when it happens. I get warm and start sweating, I feel out of it, and have intense left sided pain around my ribs, chest, and upper back that feels like a fullness and pressure. I've been to so many doctors and had tests done and they aren't finding the source of the sensations. When I lie down flat on my back, it seems to ease the discomfort considerably. I don't understand why. It scares me a lot because it's so intense that I'm forced to lie down to endure the pain and discomfort. I don't know how to show my brain I'm safe when I have to lie down.
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Ай бұрын
It's all perceived danger. There is nothing wrong with making yourself comfortable. How are you responding mentally and emotionally? Are you fueling the fear or cooling it with your internal dialog?
@IndialienJones
@IndialienJones Ай бұрын
@@PainFreeYou I respond mentally and emotionally with fear. I know that doesn't help, but I feel like I'm having a heart attack when it's happening. The other symptoms, like getting really warm and slightly sweating, is especially unnerving. Is lying down not fueling the perceived danger? Is that not sending a message of "I'm not safe so I need to lie down"? My internal dialogue is typically along the lines of..."Oh crap...I feel like I'm having a heart attack. This must be my heart. I know it's been checked, but they MUST be missing something. I know Dan says not to fuel the fear, but I physically feel like I'm having a heart attack."
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Ай бұрын
@@IndialienJones This sounds very challenging. Laying down to make yourself comfortable is the least of your perceived dangers. View that as a measure of safely providing yourself kindness and self care. The internal dialog will happen. The question is how long you stay there before you change the script and reassure yourself that you have made it through every single one of these events and will be fine this time too. Cardiac care is pretty well locked down. If there was a problem with your heart, they would have found it. TMS/PDP is the cause. Especially given the amount of fear surrounding the symptoms. That fear can keep it going.

Reflux, heartburn and indigestion pain is kicking my butt at the moment keeping me away as feels like my stomach is exploding (worry I have an ulcer and I’m damaging my oesophagus as the symptoms get stronger as I’m not taking medication although my doctor suggests PPI’s. Just wish this would go as I’ve had for over a year at different degrees.

Please stay away from ppi. Most prescribed drug. It's supposed to be short term. My ulcer started after my mum died (58)and I had two little ones. Tested positive Helicobacter pylori bacteria. Did a four antibiotics for two weeks. Big change. It was all grieve stress etc imo. Check Dr Berg KZbin reflux etc. He's brilliant
