12:05 I remember when I went to BYU and volunteered at the Missionary Training Center. I was honored with meeting David while there. He mentioned that he gave up a lot when he went on his mission. I never really realized how much he left, but it was a much-needed break. I came out a few years after I graduated BYU. I’m so happy living my life and that he is living his too.

Oh this was one of the best conversations/interviews I’ve ever heard with David. You had him all the way flustered but totally comfortable and I love to see it. I also appreciated the times you pushed back and made sure he understood the importance of his craft and telling an authentic, unique story in his lyrics. Generalized lyrics don’t always work and can get lost in the fold. Part of David’s charm is how specific and open he is about his life, and I’d love to hear more of that specificity in his songwriting. Thank you for showing him a good time!

Aw, this was great. Thanks for sharing. :) It's interesting to hear David talk about the right way to approach his audience, like whether he's still too conservative for some or not conservative enough for others. I hope he knows that all we really want is for him to be himself and continue pursuing authenticity. He's definitely inspired me a ton in that way.

I really enjoyed this conversation with David, he was more forthcoming than I thought he would be which is probably to your credit for putting him at ease. Hugs and thanks to both of you. 💜

This was such a fantastic interview! I laughed out loud so many times. It’s so good to see David in a better place. You asked so many great questions and really allowed David to be himself. I really loved the reminder that David can take all the time he needs to figure himself out. Many of his fans have been with him since his American Idol days and we aren’t going anywhere. 😊❤️❤️

Well, here I am, fashionably late for the interview, but am I glad I popped in! I have to concur with many that the interview was or is fantastic!!! I think a lot of ground was covered and David represented himself well! He was very articulate and dealt with themes in his life journey that many people can relate to. The shock of realizing who you are within the confines of the status quo that has been your anchor and releasing a good deal of those constructs so you can pursue your own authenticity as honestly and sincerely as one can! I want to "follow" David Archuleta as a guidance model of sorts. Another theme that was somewhat under the radar was that one can be a spiritual being without placing it in the framework of an established religion. I am truly grateful that I came upon this!!!! Bravo, David, Bravo!!!!!

First off; great interview, wonderful questions and fascinating answers. I am happy for David that he has found that he can have boundaries and they are his and not someone else's, took me 60 years to learn that. Another point about David's struggle to label his connection with God and what he/she/it is, stop thinking GOD and try thinking god. If you need a structure to form your life, build it yourself, you have the rest of your life to figure it out, it will adapt and change as it needs to. You have mentioned in the past about the mountains being a happy place for you, so go sit on a rock, a log or the ground and just let yourself listen, smell, see, just push your senses out there to connect to something so much bigger than yourself, do it for yourself. Just let yourself feel.

Great interview. I was not really a fan before mainly because I don’t like to do what all the mainstreams Mormons do. I found the song GLORIOUS that he sings. Even though for the church It touched me. That got my interest. So glad he is being himself. My graduation class in Utah from 1980 we had a very prominent student take his life because he was gay. Still makes my heart heavy when I think of it. He was well know and so accepting of everyone in school. I am a new fan I have been listening to his interviews

Great interview! So nice to see David be able to answer questions & not be rushed or cut short because they don’t have enough time. Great questions of fun & serious. So good to see him smiling again! Hope David continues to grow & be comfortable with himself & to live his authentic life. Maybe down the road he could write another children’s book about it being okay to feel or be different. Love David’s last 2 songs Up & I’m Yours! Wishing him much happiness & continued success! ❤

"God" is a man made construct. Organized religion is the worst place to be if u want to live a life of love, acceptance, compassion, and empathy. Man's influence on God is more dominant than the inverse

I really enjoyed this interview. As an LDS member who has experienced queer thoughts (still not sure where I lie on that one 😅) I really resonated with the feeling of wanting those thoughts to go away. I have had thoughts of "hm he's kind of cute" and then proceeded to push it out of my head and tell myself woah, slow down, but I am trying to work through things like that and try to learn who I am. Thank you for this :) 🫶
