I just want to say that I'm on day 4 and although it's still a little rough I can honestly say that I see a light now and I'm getting bursts of energy. I went swimming today even though I didn't want to and it felt great. The key is you gotta get up and move around and stay positive. God bless you Ryan. Your videos have helped me tremendously

I'm day five of w/d after being prescribed fentanyl for 15 years. I'm absolutely exhausted, physically and mentally. My arm and legs in fact my whole body won't stop twitching. I'm hypersensitive to light, noise and even touch. God get me through the next five days, please! I find it difficult to comprehend why people choose to use after going through the pain of getting clean. This is an experience I will never ever forget. Not once has it entered my mind to put a patch back on and end this misery. I just keep thinking wtf has this done to me! Pure poison! It's an end of life drug in my opinion. The body much too quickly needs higher and higher doses to get the same pain relief. Pharmaceutical companies need to be brought o task for the absolute misery they are spreading. I'd like to say thanks so much for sharing this video with us all. Much peace and blessings to all from Ireland 🇮🇪 ✌️✌️🙏🙏

I am on day 2. I started using opiates nearly 3 years ago taking 3 10mg hydrocodone daily. I decided it's time I stop depending on them. the first day wasn't so bad , but by that night I was crying from the pain I was feeling in my legs and arms, I got no sleep last night. here I am on day 2 and my pain in the legs and arms is still a nusence . I have faith I will make it if I can just make it through my body feeling so restless. I don't want them anymore so I pray I stick with this long battle of recovery.

48 hours into beginning stages of Methadone withdrawal. The physical withdrawals arent too bad yet, it takes a few days after the last dose for the worst withdrawals to begin when it comes to Methadone. Ive been on it for 4 yrs now. I tapered from 75 milligrams to 1 milligram over the past year. Ive got a really awesome attitude about going into withdrawal... i know its gonna feel shitty, but im READY to finally fight for my life, and get off this shit. The hardest part is having to be a stay at home mom to 2 young children (4 yrs and 1 yr) and they wont "wait" on me to "feel better". I have no one who can take off work to help me. My family all live in other states. My husband works full time. My husband and family members are very loving and supportive of me. Im grateful for this. But, i still feel like im doing this alone. The worst withdrawal symptoms so far is the constant anxiety and depression. Feeling so dark and sad. Even my kids are under my skin and i feel like im gonna have a heart attack behind my 4 yr old refusing to listen to me. I love my kids though, and i know its not their fault that im on edge. Its the detox. I know it wont last forever and this dark cloud will eventually pass. Its worth the fight. Damit im in tears.

Reading your story brought me back to a dark place. Withdrawaling off heroin all alone down in my dark room in the basement. I've attempted cold turkey detox prolly 40 or 50 legit times. I've spent over half of the last 10 years dopesick, literally. I always attempt detoxing in my bedroom at my parents house in the basement. And while my room is clean and spacious, it's also very dark and quiet and depressing. I also have 2 kids who need me and my mom is starting to understand the detox process but not completely cuz she still tries to get me up to do chores or do something around the house while I'm too sick to even breath. And then my dad's an angry alcoholic that constantly has a gun on his hip when he's drinking (everyday) and thinks that he doesn't have any sort of problem and thinks he's better than most people and that drug addicts are the scum of the earth and can die for all he cares. So yeah between having my kids here, my mom constantly needing me to do something, my hypocritical psycho father, the super deep depression I get from being alone in my dungeon for days feeling like death with no one that understands any of it nearby to push me to keep going, I normally don't make it real long. In fact I've never made it on my own free will. I've kicked twice cold turkey in jail and prison. I'm currently using the suboxone method and I'm so tired of the relapses, the withdrawal, the being in and out of prison, the losing important relationships. But after 10 years of doing heroin and 5 years of oxycontin before that I have definitely learned something important. I will always use opiates. I don't know how to live without them and I'm tired off trying. So I've come to terms with that and started seeing a suboxone doctor. I may not ever fully recover or be actually clean but at least I'll still have my kids, my job, and I won't be in prison. And I'm completely cool with that.

This video saved me from a complete panic breakdown. I was drugged last night at a bar and I’m still feeling the effects and I just want it to be over with.. cold sweats, nausea, dizziness, and all the other symptoms I have. I’m feeling hopeless right now. Thanks for sharing and for your advice.

music, no-one says music. choose your songs wisely. no slit your wrist stuff but with meaningful lyrics. and high tempo. a strong beat from the start. a bit you like in the middle and an outro you like to keep you hanging on in there. I listened to muse panic station for a month solid, 2 i pods for battery and even if I was talking to another resident the headphones will be pumping round my neck. chewing gum for the taste of benzo withdrawal, cause your mouth tastes of metal. I wish i never relapsed. was doing good, got into a relationship and stopped my daily routine. big mistake.

Opiates have ruined my life. I’ve been on suboxone and methadone for about 2 years. I just jumped off 57 mgs of methadone. Day 5 was so miserable I ended up in the ER. They gave me a Suboxone, it helped a little. Took hours, literally 8+ hrs, to feel any relief which wasn’t much. I can’t handle this stomach pain. I consider using heroin for a couple weeks to jump off that. My wife now just doesn’t understand. She’s ready to leave, I haven’t touched heroin for 4 years now. She doesn’t understand why I went to the clinic after being clean for almost 2 years. As soon as I heard the clinic by my house was FREE I was in there pretending to be dope sick and that was it. I’m such an addict. I’m so weak. I’ve never felt withdrawal like this. I have also considered a detox. Maybe doing this in detox will be better. Idk.

I've been on pain medication since I was 16 after my first brain surgery; after that I was in and out of pain management after learning I have lupus, depending if I could afford insurance due to all my medical bills. I realized I could get medicine from family members no problem, and I'm 25 years old now. I've managed in those 9 years to keep my pill intake to 3 10mg norco and taper down if I get past that, but I'm tired of counting out my medicine to function. I've successfully quit multiple times and still don't wan't to quit 100% because I'm scared of my pain, but I'm tired of basing my days around how much medicine I have. I can't keep living like this and feel like a majority of my life has passed me by. Thank you for these videos, honestly, they've helped me a lot.

No ne understands it until you go through it. If you can get through the worst flu in your life witch is 3 to 5 days at worst. Then your body starts waking up so it takes as much time as it takes to get your body addicted. I think the hardest part is knowing there is something that stops the hurting so it takes a strong mind and will . When you do it, it's the most freeing feeling not to need a pill to walk to pee . I am 4 years free after 17 years of Drs and scripts . Everyone has a different threshold but you can find it.

I have been secretly hiding a suboxone addiction for 8 to 10 years. I once quit for 9 months. then fell back when getting around the same people. I had relationship issues. I didn't even think about my addiction because I was the only one that knew. I liked suboxone more than I did the pills. I could manage 2 jobs 7 days a week due to the energy. I quickly rose the ladder at my job. I'm now actually at the top. I'm going through a divorce. my soon to be X told me that I bring anxiety in the room. I got to thinking. suboxone is why. I instantly started a taper. I plan to quit sometime in July. is there any complete anonymous helpline I can talk with out there? thanks for all your support you give people. it's giving me the strength to start this journey. thanks

Some dissatisfaction with myself, I suspect, very deep within myself, has impelled me all my life to find justification. Not so much with the world-- First of all to myself. What is this self inside us, this silent observer, severe and speechless critic, who can terrorize us and urge us on to futile activity. And in the end , judge us still more severely for the errors into which his own reproaches drove us.

I say (Short* Methadone detox) is the best way to come off Any other opiate. if you take a low dose like 20-30mgs for the first 7-10 days. it like numbs you as the other opiates leave, (Just Never stay on it because that glow" it gives you goes away after about 3 weeks & then it gets its hooks in you, & thats a dark Shit road) but doing a Short* detox with it, instead of starting at 0% when you stop your drug of choice its like you start at 70%. I just did it to come off of suboxone after 20mg for a year, & it did help a lot. its a mental adjust more than anything, with just waves of the irritability crappy feelings. I can sleep more than 8hours & have a decent appetite. I feel decent most of the time. The first week off is always a mental adjust with waves of crappy feelings, but it beats the hell out of the cold turkey sick heart pounding RLS diarrhea puke 2 hours of sleep. Trust.

A fellow addict once told me " YOUR BODY WILL SLEEP WHEN IT NEEDS TOO". Why would you sleep if all you have been doing for three days is laying around in misery? The insomnia is just part of the withdraw.."this too shall pass" something we have all heard in the rooms...I am not clean today but I am sick and tired of being sick and tired! SO I have decided to stop letting the fear of withdraw control my life. There is no easy path but it does get better. The one thing that will be different this time for me...I now realize I will never be fixed! I will always be an addict and I can never pick up again. The rooms work for me but they only work permanently once you start to give back to others in need. Think of it as Karma. 90 in 90.

If you don't mind my asking.. what caused the relapse? I'm worried that even if I get clean I will be really wanting to use years from now.. is it like that? I mean, I'm sure you think about it still, but can you have "normal life" after getting clean, without feeling sick or constantly wishing you could use because life sucks without it? I figure maybe relapse comes more from thinking you'd be ok to just do a little and then starting the whole cycle over.

I use opiates for backpain for about 2 years now (120mg a day) I once stopped for 3 weeks to check if i would have withdrawals symptoms. And indeed i experienced an uneasy feeling at some moments when i was at home not doing anything. But i was not getting sick or somekind. I noticed if i did some workout like cycling or go to the gym, i practically did not have any problems. But the reason why i don't seem to have much trouble with withdrawal symptoms, can be due the fact that i never did have any addictions in life. I think somehow i'm not to sensitive of getting addicted to any substances.

Hello ryan Your experience regarding detox opioids really good and also very helpful hats off You are doing a mankind karma Well done all your experience is truth full and i like it Ok this is my story From last 5 days I am on cold turkey But now conditions are more difficult I am Codein Addicted from last 4 years Mainly in form of cough syrup codein phosphate , raw opium latex (sometime) My dose Daily 400 ml of codein syrups (100ml×4) Every 10ml contains 5 mg codein Also with clonazepam 2 mg Sometimes alprazolam In evening sometimes alcohol also 360 ml I tried many times to leave codein (4 times) mainly Last big gap only for 23 days without codein (sep 2018) Without any medication Now condition is that I want to leave codein completely I can easily make 4 days gap without codein no other medication no alcohol But after 5 days detoxification becomes tarifying like rest less leg no motivation no desire to do anything pain also Coughing ,fever etc But from 28 jun 19 I decreased my dose from 4 cough syrup to one single cough syrup 100 ml/day( currently ) No I want to stop it permanently My questions 1 To avoid or minimize cold turkey which is the best way ? 2 can I decrease codein dose day by day to avoid extreme withdrawal symptoms 3 can i go for medication (Dr) Male Age 32 India Note: may be i am unable to express some points and condition I will try to improve my english
