There are some RVs that have car seat anchors. It’s not easy to look up which ones do. That could make for a good article. Car seats are not safe in a sideways position. Booster seats require a lap and shoulder belt.

The best solution is travel trailers. You are using the tow vehicle approved seats.

Hi - thanks for uploading this. We have a Class A Fleetwood Southwind about to start traveling next month. We have a 18 month old and have the same scenario, no seatbelts in the dinette seating but restraints in the side facing couch. I hear so many people that are against it but this is realistically our only option. My fiancé feels it’s okay because we are able to have it restrained tightly to the car seat like you demonstrated. I get worried about what may happen in the event of the crash and I don’t want to feel like I’m not putting my sons safety first. If you have any other tips on car seat safety in the rv or just rv safety in general I’d love to hear it. I am subscribing to your channel now though! Thanks.

Yeah, that's terrifying. Might have to go fifth wheel.

The back of a motorhome basically crunches in a crash. I agree with the fifth wheel recommendation.

Not safe and not something to advise others to do.

Sorry, but when you have a kid, you put their safety first. Maybe it means buying a new RV, maybe it means waiting to use the RV until they're older. Those seatbelts in the beds and kitchen areas are not rated for carseats. It's extremely unsafe, and you can join any RVing with kids group and everyone knows that.
